    Isn't that a bit harsh? Personally, I don't find the GUI bad at all.

    Wait, pbust. How does a 'like' button spread the word? They would only know about it until after they install Panda Cloud. I wouldn't call this spreading the word. More like making it look more popular, like the avast! facebook page. Even before they placed a that :thumb: in the GUI, their facebook was still popular. How about Panda Security focus on editing cloudantivirus.com and making it better, maybe adding some social buttons to it as well?

    Use the power of the community. ;) Not the power of buttons and banners. :D

    Quarantine = Recycle bin

    Next to that it is cloud based, so you will automatically send the data they need.

    Just a thought.

    Will you show the I like button even if one doesn't have an account on FaceBook, like me? :shifty:

    Yes Sir I agree :thumb:

    Infact I think that Panda might loose some users of the PandaCloud AV because of this, though at the same time they might get new ones as well.

    I've got to say that the whole facebook thing is a huge turnoff for me as well and would keep me from making a move to Panda (which has been on my radar screen).

    It's not only facebook. Behind that like button there's an rss subscription to the CloudAV blog, info on Panda products for business, etc.

    Personally I'm not into Facebook either... at all! But it does help get new users who don't know about Panda Cloud AV.

    A question I want to know is how long does the user spending looking at the main UI? I think the button can be helpful to those that are way into social networking and want to share things with friends but I know most users just close the UI once they install and go back to doing what they normally do.

    I mean its not like the products today are asking you to post a status saying "Product X just blocked some malware, inform your friends that you are safe" everytime it detects malware.

    I look at my GUI several times a day in logs, statistics etc....

    And those that are "way into social networking" are NOT way into security products I think. So they don't really care that much about this button since they already are way into social networking.

    So basically the only users that will benefit from this button is the FaceBook members, everyone else will just look at it in an annoying way ;)

    I don't like that Social Networking crap either in security products. But if that helps the product marketing I will not argue. My request would be then to keep a option to disable that thing.

    :) Just to register my opinion, I, also, avoid anything related to Facebook or other social media networks.

    When connecting to my friend's network by cable I got problems accessing Facebook on its correct adress. Almost like a Crossnetwork warning. Browsing to Google is no problem.

    Starting with 1.5 we're introducing a lot of improvements to dusk i/o and cpu usage. Some of the improvements are in 1.5, some in 1.9 beta and some yet to come. But with 1.5 you should see already major improvements.

    @pbust

    There were talks about a Mac version last year, have the development stopped or what's going on? :doubt:

    I know that you have released a non cloud AV for the Mac.
    But no Mac version of Panda Cloud AV as of yet.

    BTW. If you hurry you might be the vendor to release the first pure cloud AV for the Mac,
    before Prevx get's it's version out ;).

    Edit: Also when will you stop using the URL blocking feature as an addon, and implement it into the core instead?
    At least in the Pro version so paying users don't need bother with this toolbar thing.
