    Hey! "Pbust"

I want to remind you will the context scan problem would be FIXED in the next build.
First I found the issue when testing the Panda 2012 Beta then i posted the issue (on the beta forum). But unfortunately when the final build released the issue was not fixed :'(

Then i saw the same problem been posted on cloud av forum too (link)

So just to reminding you to FIX this issue too on the next build/beta and not to forget it like the vaccination issue ;) :argh:

    Regards,
    Dark Lord

Still working on the context scanning bug issue. Its not as high priority as other items but its on the backlog.

Next fix (within the next few days) will be a silent autofix for the BSOD, the vaccination bug and some bugs with product links.

    Hi Pbust

Nice to hear context scanning issue is on the backlog :thumb:

Hey! Also will the next build of Panda able to delete viruses inside RAR files without just notifying. (I refer to this link case).

Seems like kaspersky is able to delete viruses in ZIP and RAR files. Love Panda too also have this option. :)

BTW, it's good to hear BSOD, vaccination bug and some other bugs will be fixed through "silent autofix" rather than waiting for the next build

Even though the upgrade will include improvements in the disinfection of packed objects, it will not have disinfection within rar. Afaik only Kaspersky does this as they somehow got the RARLabs algorithm.

We will release 1.5.1 very shortly (within the next few days) which will fix a few issues detected in the recent 1.5.0 release:

    * Autorun re-enable bug
    * BSOD with one of the drivers
    * Disinfection improvements within archives and Chrome cookie files.
    * Various bug fixes with links within the products, etc.

Existing users of version 1.5.0 will be upgraded automatically and silently to 1.5.1. For new users version 1.5.1 will be made available from www.cloudantivirus.com as the main installer.

Not for 1.5.1, but we are using some of these ideas for the future interface.

This may be a dumb question, but I'm just curious, so I'll go ahead and ask. Is it possible to just download and install the Panda URL filtering? I don't want the toolbar, and on my current set-up I don't really need the cloud antivirus itself. But Panda's URL filter seems to work great, from the tests I've seen online. I'd love to add it to my current set-up, if that's even possible.

    Thanks!

No. You have to install the toolbar and then uninstall it, the only way to have the URL Filtering by itself.

Thanks. So, is it possible to just install the toolbar without installing the entire AV? If so, is there a link for it somewhere?

OK, one other question. I downloaded and then removed the toolbar, leaving the URL filter. I then went to website to test the filter (http://www.cloudantivirus.com/testurlfilter/). When I load the page in both Firefox 5 and IE 9, I get the normal Panda page saying that this page contains malware and has been blocked. But when I run the test webpage in both browsers in Sandboxie, I don't get the usual Panda block page. Instead, I get a white page with this message -- "This website is for testing purposes only. If Panda Cloud Antivirus Web & URL filtering is active, you should not see this web page loaded in your browser except if you bypassed the filter."

That leads me to ask, is the URL filter not compatible with Sandboxie? It doesn't seem to work with it as it does unsandboxed...

Sorry if this is off-topic. If it is, please just delete this post. Thanks!

There is a known compatibility problem between the URL Filtering and Sandboxie. I assume it has not been fixed yet...

Add Panda Cloud Antivirus in Sandbox Settings > Applications > Security/Privacy.

    Hi Brocke,

Already seen this error in the Panda logs twice since installing yesterday. Here is what I think caused the second error this morning on my Windows 7 32 bit rig.

My computer was in sleep mode all night. It is also on a wireless connection. After I brought it out of sleep mode, I checked the Panda logs and there was the cloud sync error at the same time the computer came out of sleep mode.

I guess Panda is trying to sync before the wireless connection is established. My question is how do I know I am synced with the Panda cloud after a Panda cloud sync error?
