A marketing ploy? The two currencies are equal in value.

Actually for all intents and purposes they might as well be equal. 1.00 USD =0.978126 AUD.

I await the attacks for daring to derail the thread into a comparison between A & B.

Thanks dude. But they adjust the price according to your I.P. The U.S. has a special rate it appears to try & crack into the market. I thought about using a VPN i.p. but what if they issue me with a key exclusive to the U.S. "Sorry wrong continent - cancelled."

I'm in australia. Maybe Cloud technology means their long distance internet connections cost more to maintain? Hence the price hike. :D

    welcome buddy;) ...

if you think panda would charge you more because you live in Australia then buddy....panda should have charged me in astronomical sum of money for where I live....(look at my location at the top right-hand corner of my post) :argh:

the webpage will show you the price is US $29.99 and will charge you that not matter where you live......the exchange currency rate is a whole different matter.....Avira shows it's price in my currency and Emsisoft even offers me discount and in my currency.....

    okay.....can't see that...says domain unregistered.....

um....your confusion needs to be cleared right now.....that's taking too far.....

if you want to buy Panda Cloud Antivirus Pro visit www.cloudantivirus.com and click on 'Buy it now' at the bottom left-hand corner under 'try it free' and then you'll be taken to https://shop.pandasecurity.com/cgi-bin/pp?twds=cloud&ID=A12CAESD1&track=102324&ml=EN you'll see at the middle top-hand corner labelled red 'Total price US $29.99'

then you decide what you want.....okay?

The panda prices are idiotic sometimes - € 29.99 is much more than US $ 29.99  If you live in Switzerland it's CHF 49.99 although 1 CHF = 1 US $ :p

    Nice try Panda ... :cautious:

Weird, it should be $29.99US and $29.99AUD if the exchange rate is 1-to-1 or close to that. I don't know why this is showing all wrong, maybe a bug. We will check it out.

Ya ams963 do u live in the US by chance?

On the 'buy it' page up in the top right hand corner you can change your country of origin to U.S. and get the $29.99.

But the WARNING seems to indicate that you better live in the country you pick or things wont work.

The product obviously (duh!) works exactly the same in any country. The "warning" only says:

"This could affect the information about prices, taxes, offers, etc. Remember that the customer service and/or technical support will only be received from the country from which you purchase the product."

Somewhere else in a thread was talk about buying 3 lics. for another product and the buyer was warned the Lic. Nos. were continent restricted. So I'm a little hesitant about changing my country of origin.

Don't worry about it, I think it refers to 3 activations in different continents. As long as you activate all of them in the same continent its no big deal. Also that is for a different product, so even less of an issue.

Seriously no problem changing countries, specially after I said its probably a bug in the AUD pricing. If you have any problems don't hesitate to PM me.

Do you mean cookies? Because other stuff ends up in the recycle bin where you can recover the file or delete it.

Not cookies. Everything that gets 'neuted'. I was cleaning an infected drive & I'm sure some stuff didn't go in the bin but instead dissapeared. It was late at night. Maybe I was mistaken.
