    +1 :p
They could combine the show last popup option in systray with some mechanism to detect when the computer comes out of idle(for example mouse movement) to be sure a sure is informed when something is neutralized when the user is AFK.

Just trying to help. A cloud av is going to send a lot of bits of files to their servers to examine. If you have an issue with that, you should use a traditional av.

    Thank you for the link!
Sorry, thought you were being sarcastic. I get the point about cloud AV's but I don't see why is PCAV connecting to the cloud so often, even when there's nothing to scan. This log is from early this morning when my pc was idle. And there's also the cache which aims to fingerprint already-known-clean files from scans. I mean, the point is having signatures in the cloud instead of the host, we don't see traditional AV's scanning files all the time, do we?

I'm confused. If the URL filter works, I should see a white page with only:"This website is for testing purposes only.

If Panda Cloud Antivirus Web & URL filtering is active, you should not see this web page loaded in your browser except if you bypassed the filter." being witten. Am I right? That's for http://www.cloudantivirus.com/testurlfilter Can I get a creen-shot of the correct web page when the module is all right?:)

If the filter works you should see page with a big red area and a warning saying something like "this page has been blocked for malicious content".

Otherwise if you see the "this webpage is for testing purposes only" it means that the URL filter is not working and/or you're using a non-supported browser.

I'm using Firefox 8.0 and IE 9. these are the latest versions. Why aren't you moving with the "wave"o_Oo_O
All I can see in the "Requirements" is IE 6.0 or later, but I guess you should be more precise.

The URL filter works under IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari and a few others.

Is the process Panda_URL_Filtering.exe running? Do you have any other security software which may be preventing the above process from connecting or running correctly? Check the logs from your other security apps to see if anything shows up there.

oh! I just went to www.cloudantivirus.com/testurlfilter and I'm getting the same message as gdiloren. I'm running ff 8.0 and IE 8.0 Panda_URL_Filtering.exe is also running fine. Checked logs of my other security products(spyshelter and malwarebytes antimalware)and nothing says url filter is being blocked at any moment.

URL filtering is working and i have installed only Panda and Win FW.With Chrome and Iron portable, doesn't work. With IE9 and Opera portable,it works.Very odd...
Chrome is the only one sandboxed, but i think it's irrelevant, because Panda URL filtering is allowed to run and access the net in Sandboxie.

Point is: do you have the MBAM PRO Website Blocking (by Ip address) feature on. It may be interfering as it is somekind of Web filtering device! I'd like some research by the PCAV Panda team on it. Definitively, the URL filtering feature of PCAV is not working on my PC independently of any browsers and when I try to run Active Scan, it tells me Firefox 8.0 is not the correct browser and to download Panda suite free...

I can see from your signature that you have MBAM ON DEMAND, that means no MBAM PRO with a licence and NO Website Filtering feature Protection. Anyway, it's weird!

I've heard from other users that the URL Filter doesn't work with Iron portable. So far the browsers we do support and QA against are IE, FF and Chrome. It works under a bunch of other browsers, but we only QA the ones mentioned above.

Regarding the page sreenshot this is weird. Are you sure you are accessing the correct page (http://www.cloudantivirus.com/testurlfilter/). Also if you are seeing the "this page is for testing only" make sure that in the past you haven't excluded the page from the URL filter. Uninstall and re-install from www.cloudantivirus.com/toolbar/PandaSecurityToolbar.exe should do it.

@atomomega, what exactly is it you want to know? PCAV connects to a variety of Panda servers for a variety of reasons, but we don't publish what each server does for security reasons.

Thank you for answering. I just wanna know why does it connect every minute? Like... if it's necessary even when my computer is idle, no scan running, no file moving, no new software...

Sometimes it does small connects for keep-alive purposes to see if its still connected to the Internet and/or to the CI servers. It might be due to that.

Still no answer on how come the URL filtering works on some computers for FF, Chrome and IE while on others it's negative. Being an important part of PCAV, I don't intend using it without it. Switching off the original browser protection against phishing and malware is not a solution to me.
