From what i remember, installation indeed failed when installing some driver component. Setup even crated some logs after that. I'll try to re-create this situation once again, and get in contact with Panda (and maybe OA later if it's needed).

Frankly speaking, I was so focused on trying to find source of the problem, that i didn't thought about that, lol :D ;)

Since Online Armor and Panda Cloud are both great products I'd like to see every bug squish in them and it looks like i just found one ;) I just don't know yet whether it's only me or more OA user could potentiality have problems :doubt:

As for 1.1b goes. It looks good in terms of usability and GUI. Self-Protectionist seems to be strong, bu I'm not a expert here. Detection rates (when are more or less like ones scored by Panda products in av cooperatives) are absolutely satisfactionary (at least form me ;) )
I have only one real problem w/ Panda Cloud today: it's high FP rate. What i would like to see among Advance options is the ability to send file classified as trojan/suspicious to Panda directly from AV GUI along with -optional- url address of site where program could be downloaded (official site etc.), brief description on what file relay is etc. etc. It could make our lives a lot easier ;P

just a little rogue test, Panda with Prevx. Panda nuetralized them all not a peep from Prevx. Subsequent scan with Malwarebytes found nothing.

Not much, but enough for me.;)

The first amateur prevention test I found on PCA Beta 1.1

Though, I don't like that he opens everything in tabs one after the other.

And HitMan Pro and MBAM do find some stuff afterwards, if it is leftovers or not is hard to tell.

    @Pbust

Initial startup I/O of the 1.1. beta is roughly 30% of the 1.0 version. Also with the added behavioral blocker the CPU time seems to drop with 5 to 10 percent. You did not brag in the release notes about efficiency, but it seems that some serious engine or code overhauling has been implemented.

    Some background info please?

    Regards Kees

Hmmm... it seems PCAV was stopped when downloading and running all those samples from MDL and then activated again after all the samples were executed, correct? It seems to me this is not a good "prevention test" if the AV was deactivated.

Yes this has been optimized quite a bit, specially the background scan right after install.

    I see :)

I still have one question: Why do I sometimes get a message from windows (no access to the file possible) when Panda deletes a file o_O I haven't noticed this behaviour with AVG or Avast. Is it necessary to block the file because of checking with the cloud? :doubt:

When exactly does this happen? Can you post steps to replicate it?

Ahh I see... sorry I didn't read your previous post.

The message you get is from Windows after PCAV has prevented the action to complete. This is the expected response from the system after a behavioural block has ocurred.

I will be posting a complete listing of behaviour block rules included in PCAV and their description in the PCAV forum when I have some time. Too much diaper-changing right now, both in real life and with the beta :)

The beta stopped my PC going into auto standby.

    No problem with 1.0.

    Is this just me?

No, there is no red x in the tray icon. The AV appears to be functional.
