I've posted this before somewhere but just to refresh it:
TruPrevent = Behaviour Analysis (BA) + Behaviour Blocking (BB)

Panda Cloud Antivirus 1.1 will incorporate a new and optimized version of TruPrevent and you will be able to turn on/off each one of the components individually under the new "advanced configuration" window (this config option is not in the current beta yet btw).

Right Thanks a lot for clarifying Pbust:thumb:

So basically you modified TruPrevent a little to make it lighter and suite PCA better I guess.

Actually we rebuilt it from scratch but far more optimized to be integrated in the new Cloud Antivirus architecture.

What's there to whine about? You think the development and maintenance of PCAV would pay for itself? :)

Ok in this thread i read that there where issues with the Chrome download map. About a day before i installed PCAV i installed Chrome Plus, and till yesterday there where no problems between PCAV and Chrome Plus.

But yesterday when i started Chrome Plus PCAV placed chrome.exe in the Recycle bin? It did not give a virus warning, nor was there a report that showed it was a infection. To be sure i used Aviras Rescue CD to scan the drive after reboot. Nothing was found, after that i hat MBAM scan the drive in safe mode and it also found nothing. So it is almost safe to say it was not due to a infection.(Though not 100%)

I noticed that after i tried to have PCAV set the file back, it placed it in a map called Local... something. So i uninstalled Chrome Plus in safe mode, erased the chrome.exe file from that map in PCAV...checked the registry for remainders of Chrome. After reboot i installed Chrome Plus again, and at first it seemed to have solved the problem. But this morning PCAV did the same thing?

Since i really started to like Chrome Plus i removed PCAV for now. But i would love to continue using PCAV, so i hope this issue is known and if not, did anyone else experienced this issue?

    Yes, seen here as well.

The two programs happily co-existed for about a week and then bingo, ChromePlus.exe gone. Uninstalled PCAV for now.

At least i am not the only one then.(That would have been something. :) )

I hope they can fix it with the next release.

Can you send me the "nano" Windows Event log? Simply run eventvwr.exe, browse to Nano log and export it to an evt file. Please send me the file to pedro.bustamante@pandasecurity.com.

Also include the exported PCAV report.

    Thanks!

That is going to difficult, because the only thing i can find about chrome in the Windows Logs is that it crashed a bit more then an hour ago. And that log is in the application folder. I removed and re-installed Chrome Plus this morning? :doubt:

As for PCAV i uninstalled it this morning also, there is nothing left of it on my drive? Now i wish i hat waited with removing PCAV.

@Morro, @Blackcat, this is an issue we'd like to investigate further. If any of you can replicate it please send me both the PCAV log as well as the "Nano" event log. Under Vista and Windows 7 this can be found under the "Application and Services Log" folder of the Windows Event Viewer (eventvwr.exe).

    Hi.

What will be the main differences between the free and the pro version??
Is the pro version the same as " Panda Cloud Office Protection ", but without the remote management??
Can the "free panda cloud AV" be used in a SOHO/small business environment??

    Thank you.

I have discovered an uninstall issue. The icon of PCAV remain in the control panel even after uninstallation.

As you can see it's in the control panel but not on the start menu or in the program folder after uninstall. Very annoying bug as I cannot get rid of the icon of PCAV in the control panel.

That uninstaller worked wonders! For the final release of 1.1, they really ought to fix a proper uninstaller.

Okay here as I have had no problems uninstalling the beta many times on different snapshots.
