Regarding the new online armor firewall and panda conflicting, the two don't conflict when the hips feature of the online armor firewall is disabled.

I've added the panda folder in the program files (x86) to the online armor exclusion, can pbust or anybody possibly inform what other folder/files that can be excluded to online armor to see if it resolves the conflict ?

    I'm using windows 7x64.

I know it might be the case that with all the panda files/folders excluded in online armor it might not resolve the confilct with the OA hips feature enabled.

Shouldn't be happening. Try a full scan of the machine so that Panda gets to know your PC (file caching). If the problem persists after that please let me know.

Try finding and adding all Panda folders under both %ProgramFiles% and %Users% to the exclusion list.

What I would like to know is if Panda uses the cloud, and your internet connection goes down. Will you basically be left without any protection.

The reason I ask is because viruses could come from other sources like USB flash and hard drives.

    Thanks.

The cloud stores a local cache of the latest signatures so you will be covered. The same goes for Panda Cloud AV, you are still in good hands...

To see the offline protection of Panda check out the latest Retrospective Test from AV-Comparatives.org. This test is performed without Internet connectivity and by freezing signatures:

Try running a full scan of your PC to allow Panda to cache some files.

I'll try this later on today.

When testing 0 day malware that panda detects as suspicous and moves to the quarantine, when the file is restored it automatically adds it to the scan exclusion.

So if you rescan/redownload the file once it's been restored panda detects it as clean as it's in the exclusion list.

    @pbust

I used the Panda online scanner and I found a pavboot in the System32\Drivers....just wondering if it's Panda's or something else.

Pavboot sounds like a Panda named file, is the file dated the day you used the scanner? What does the file properties say?

In addition to the info requested by Ibrad, can you post the report from the online scanner?

No, it's not dated the day I did the scan. I did the scan two days ago. I found 2 pavboot.sys that was related to Panda online scan but also was one in system32 folder....I thought it was suspicious. The file is 28KB in size. Where would the log be?

    Yes this is our file.

I misunderstood and thought you meant that the file was detected by the online scanner as suspicious.

No problem with this file, it's ours.

Pbust, can you please help me with my panda freezes?

I'm in despair... It started to work after couple of days very nice but lately it makes my system crawl again. (see this posts
    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showpost.php?p=1742845&postcount=152
    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showpost.php?p=1740273&postcount=131
    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showpost.php?p=1742485&postcount=147
    ).

Several modules hangs and make my system almost useless..

I temporary uninstalled panda and installes eset (I have still key for it) and it's was running fine. But I if its possible prefer to have Panda.

I reinstalled today Panda and the situation is the same - so I'm sure it's conflict with some third party software. I can provide you any log you want ;-)

Hello Pedro, thank you for answering our questions. I have one for you. Did you take the Cloud-Test-File detection off the CI servers? Mine plays with EICAR but not with your Cloud-Test-File (both OA and OD).
