Today I saw a PC that I installed Panda Free on. Interestingly, when booting it up, I saw Panda ad. -50% .... and so forth.

Panda News was turned off. So I think it is still not 100% ad-free :/

No auto-upgrade so far, I guess that upgrade isn't important ... :doubt:

You have to uninstall and use new installer to update the program.
(auto upgrade can take many months)

After all I think the Panda support doesn't really exist ... However, I got the next reminder to renew my licence.

Installed on XP Pro last week. Light on resources~150 MB (four running processes) So far my only complaint is that there are two separate Settings area for Antivirus, took me a bit to find Scan Scheduling.
Only saw one notification pop up for upgrade suggestion and that was shortly after install.

With Panda free (Win 7 and newer OS) a scheduled scan does not run later, if the PC is off when it should run.
Panda free does not allow for "Run task as soon as possible after a scheduled start is missed".

I think the recession in Spain and the change in upper management had them fall back on their support they had when PCAV was first released but hopefully they can turn the ship back and regain focus as they continue to build the product

I never got the previous version (16.1.2) via autoupgrade, I think it just doesn't work at all. No answer (as usual) from the Panda support, hm ...

It works sometimes, but it can take months for it to autoupgrade :(

It can be installed over the top of the old one IIRC. I've just uninstalled Avast! Free after several recent problems and returned to Panda Free. 16.1.3 is running well.
