Oh well, Panda freaked out a bit when I tried to upgrade FotoSketcher and it is drastically slowing down downloads, so, much to my chagrin, I've uninstalled it and gone back to MSE.

LOL. Must be a Fantastic Product!! Available now on Amazon:

"Panda Antivirus Pro 2016 [1 Device, 1 Year]
    Price $1,999.00
    Only 19 Left....
    "

Did the dollar collapse or something?

    http://www.amazon.com/Panda-Antivirus-2016-Device-Year/dp/B015EIQQ3C/ref=sr_1_9?s=software&ie=UTF8&qid=1442460120&sr=1-9&refinements=p_n_feature_browse-bin:388154011,p_n_operating_system_browse-bin:359850011

(Someone at Amazon is asleep at the wheel. Probably have not established the price yet. But still is funny :) Will likely be changed by the time you see it. Better grab it at this price while you still can.)

You SOB Tyrizian ! I was just about to close a deal on selling my Mercedes so I could buy them all. Must be the Limited Edition that includes a cute little stuffed Panda.

They must have raised the price after the release of the AV Comparatives August 2015 Real Worl Test.

    http://chart.av-comparatives.org/chart1.php?chart=chart2&year=2015&month=8&sort=1&zoom=3

Hold on to them and don't unwrap the box. They might be worth $49.95 on eBay someday.

It's OK Tyrizian. You were able to make your decision quickly and act on it. Congratz. He Who Hesitates Is Lost and To the Victor Go The Spoils . I've been lost for years.

If you are tempted to open one, could you please post a picture of the little Panda here.

The UI looks kind of informative. Those numbers of files scanned and threats blocked are what I want from an AV's main window.

Ok, here is the correct thread. This is what I posted earlier:

"On my Vista machine (Dell Latitude x86 SP2) I'm using Panda Free AV (v15.1.0) and it seems to be more memory friendly than MSE, which I used before. Now with the new version out of Panda (v16.0.1), it's definitely slower and has been giving me all sorts problems, mainly crashes and false positives. So downgraded.

Hey, is the the 2016 version supposed to ready for daily use, or it in beta?"

Hmmmm. I don't have this issue at all. I also can't find any product that protects as well and is as light as Panda is. So what product are you using now that is "lighter" than Panda on your system? I'm not sure there is one that is as good at protection, but I'm curious to know what you chose.

I'm guessing I'll wait until 16.0.2 until I'm ready to use it again.

How is Pandas Anti-Exploit technology compared to competitors? I know they touted it a few years back; would I need Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit alongside Panda?

It will probably block more exploits than Panda, but whether you are ever going to encounter them is the better question.

I wish Panda would already fix the damn broken quarantine. You can't even restore files and after all this time they still haven't issued an update :/

I think they're hoping nobody has noticed.

Have they fixed the broken quarantine restoration of files?

I tested quarantine restoration and it worked fine (file was restored to Panda Security -> LostandFound folder)

Shouldn't it restore to the original location of the file(s) ?

Panda dev team is apparently populated by~Phrase removed~. Who the hell "recovers" detected files into "Lostandfound" folder instead of their original location!? This is the dumbest bullcrap I've seen in last 15 years. WHAT THE HELL PANDA!?!!??
