Good Afternoon! Why would you want to deal with a Company...that has Non-Existent Support? I've Blacklisted Panda...as a Company...Atrocious Customer Dis-Service! Sincerely...Securon
As I only use their freeware I didn't expect customer support. I have always found their forums to be helpful though and Panda staff generally try to answer any questions or queries.
Good Evening! Daveski17...Unfortunately my Problem arose with their American based affliate office...on a payed purchase with Panda Cloud I.S...to me it's water under the proverbial bridge. In your case may the Force Be With You. Lol! Sincerely...Securon
They should really rehire "pbust", I'm waiting for a simple mail change in my panda account since 2 months (!). I sent them about 10 reminders, ok they are working on it now ... What a shame for a security company.
Good Evening, or as you posted this around 1 am BST, Good Morning lol. That doesn't sound so good if you were a paying customer. I always worry about AV companies and their respective products. I'm typing this on my laptop, it has no AV. The only security on it added by me is browser hardening. It makes life easier.
The thing is, this bug most likely affects paid for customers as well. That's why it's smart to have a good support even for free users, because that also greatly helps users who pay for your products. Apparently some still don't understand the point of free products. They are advertisement and a way how to buff cloud sysems efficiency and how you buff the bug reporting. Free users feel more inclined to report things, because they feel like they owe something tot he company that gives them software for free where paid users simply expect stuff to work properly without having to report anything or as little as possible. It's something I've learned after being with avast! for over 10 years. Some other developers follow and understand this, but most don't...

Just updated an old machine. The GUI has barely changed btw, except for a new logo and coloring scheme, which does make the main window a lot easier on the eyes. I was on 15.0.3, now 16.0.1, no difference in version numbers for those. I also checked the drivers in system32, they have a small increase in version: -------------2015 ---------2016 PSINAfilt.sys 4.0.0.757 --4.0.0.760 PSINFile.sys 4.0.0.759 --4.0.0.761 PSINKNC.sys 4.0.0.765 --4.0.0.767 PSINProc.sys 4.0.0.751 --4.0.0.753 PSINProt.sys 4.0.0.748 --4.0.0.750 PSINReg.sys 4.0.0.1 --4.0.0.2 PSKMAD.sys 1.0.0.13 --4.0.0.16
I located the file in "lostandfound" folder in /program files/panda security folder. Apparently it couldn't restore to original location due to admin rights
I had Panda on a short list for the future but can't consider it while it's doing this sort of thing. I like to support the developers when possible by purchasing.
interesting i checked there after seeing your post and i had no luck the files in question were not there (i restored the image to check it)
I think that Panda Free 16.0.1 is impacting negatively my computers (Windows 7 and 10). Some installations are slow. Internet Download Manager is unable to complete downloads when it is configured to use several connections simultaneously to download a file. When IDM tries to “combine” the segments, it reports that it can´t open the local file. I have used IDM for years and this had never happened. In both cases, the problems disappear when I stop Panda temporarily and repeat the operation. I plan to uninstall Panda to make more extensive checks.
Interesting, but may very well be true (I think so) http://support.pandasecurity.com/fo...8&sid=5a359fdfa73401707991b34709b94392#p20780
Personally, I don't begrudge Panda Security from trying to gather some income from their free product. The toolbar and filter are optional after all. Having said that, I don't use/include the toolbar or filter. All I need is a light and effective basic AV.
Although, a great antivirus product, Panda Free indeed slows down the opening of software, causes periodic internet hiccups and adds a few more seconds to startup (This was experienced on a pretty high end machine). And since I wish to utilize every bit of my PCs performance, I decided to uninstall Panda Free.
