The URL filter doesn't work for me using IE.

    Must be OA interfering?

@atom At the given time we cannot guarantee that the filter will be implemented but it may appear. Your feedback is not necessary, however.

@zip The block page should be there in most major browsers. There were a few users reporting that the block page did not appear in IE/FF though it comes up fine for others. MBAM Pro does not interfere at all, and I have the product as well. Open task manager and look for Panda_URL_Filtering.exe. Is it running?

    Cloud,

    Process Explorer shows Panda_URL_filtering.exe running.

    Thank you. :)

Could you remove the URL Filtering component and run installation using the "traditional" route? Let me know if that works.

Works fine my way. Panda Cloud 2 is installed and i installed Panda URL Filter by extracting it. Using the test URL and i got the warning.

LOL... That's not a clever answer. I know, I'm not paying for this... but still, your approach should be less harsh. ;)

... but as an option please, I don't need Panda URL Filter! ;)

Some of us (me) like to run with the W7 security center disabled, but PCA will continually try to register with the action center/security center every 11 seconds and will start a new process that runs for a few seconds and then 11 seconds later it happens again......24/7. There should be a setting (like in WSA) to disable PCA from registering in the security center.

I see that... and you found humor. Are you talking about the toolbar approach or my message? :)

Of course. I thought URL Monitor in Panda Cloud is actually this function just to find out it's not.

I wish for a 64bit version of Panda Cloud.

32bit sux. My sig. shows MSE. I'm only playing with PC 'cause it's 32bit, I'd stay for 64bit.

MSE is slick, but updating stinks.

If PC was 64bit, it would rule the computer world.

Two candidates for King, but both miss the mark.

What are you rambling on about King Arthur? Panda Cloud does support (Vista/7) 64bit. ;)

Open Process Explorer and you will see it's 32bit.

You will also see that Panda's url filter is anti-phishing.

Visicom Media Anti-phising Domain Advisor (Powered by Panda Security)

A big let down. Just about every one offers anti-phishing.

Minor glitches I've found while using Panda Cloud.
    1. Downloading the eicar test file in a sandboxed Firefox (by Sandboxie), Panda will not detect it, while downloading the eicar test file in an unsandboxed Firefox, Panda will detect and delete it immediately.
    2. Browsing a folder using Windows Explorer that contains eicar test file, Panda will detect and delete it immediately, while browsing a folder using my preferred file manager (Multi Commander), Panda will not detect it.
Although by double-clicking the test file, Panda will now detect it.

@zip, I don't understand what your let down is about. Why is it important to you if its a 32bit or 64bit process? It has no impact on the protection it offers nor its performance. In regards to the URL filter, Visicom is the maker of the component as it ships with Visicom's toolbar, but the protection (signatures) come from Panda and are managed by Panda. Given the fact that you change your security setup as often as you change shirts I don't understand why this is such a big deal.

@skudo12, those are not glitches nor bugs, its by design. The conflict with Sandboxie is to be expected given the purpose of a sandbox. In regards to explorer.exe vs other file managers, this behaviour depends on the manager itself. Sometimes explorer.exe will read files in a browser directory to display its properties and this operation makes AVs scan it as well. Nothing out of the ordinary here, happens with most AVs.

URL Filter is ok, i just don't like the landing pagew hen webpage is not accessible, offline etc. It's crowded with some info, Yahoo search below and doesn't display the direct URL which wasn't accessible which is a bit annoying.
