Pale Moon 12.0 Released!

A new release built on the Firefox 12 code base. This is mostly a maintenance release.
Of special interest is that Pale Moon, unlike Mozilla Firefox in its version 12, does not move to a silent install method.

Fixes and changes in all versions:

A number of security and stability fixes imported from Firefox 12
Update to the status bar code and a finalization of the integration of this functionality
Localization of the status bar preferences and messages into 3 additional common languages: German, French and Spanish. This will automatically follow your locale setting
Update to the HTML5 media controls
Some under-the-hood changes that will further improve performance of Pale Moon on some systems

Pale Moon Portable:

[*]An update to the launcher and script. More information on the Pale Moon Portable page. It is recommended for everyone using the portable to make a fresh install (with a copy over of your profile files if desired) and not use an in-place upgrade.
[*]A fix for backups not being properly created and stored
It is recommended that you create a new portable install with this version, and if desired copy over your old profile folder (under \user) to the new installation. In-place upgrade is not recommended at this time.

Think I'll give this a spin. Does it install the "Test Pilot" add on?

I've found a common bug in all Pale Moon NextGen browsers: By default, if "automatic cache management" is not used on a profile, the value for the cache is set to 1024MB as a user preference, ignoring the defaults set in the application's preferences.
This results in any new profile (after a fresh install, for example) to have a user-set value to 1GB. Pale Moon's design size is 200MB, to which some other parameters have been adjusted as well, and using a 1GB disk cache is not recommended for several reasons (most notably inefficient cache use, stale items and unnecessary cache management).
