Chaospro! Dang It! You keep getting more plugins, how am I supposed to keep up?

First I did the pattern with a tiling (sp?) program. they use virtual mirrors to make seemless tiles, but if you can control the tile size and the source, then you can take pretty much any picture into a complicated pattern. I think they are fun. After that,
I think I used KPT3 to turn it into a sphere. They have an effect called glass lens. Its pretty good for making balls, including eyeballs.

Are you seated? I did a tutorial! The following result is yet another sphereoid (sp?) This one was flat...i just did two things to make it into a ball.
Does PSP have a conversion from rectangular to polar co-ordinates? Thats all it takes.

Thanks for the compliment, BB. I like how you did the link, I'm going to have to try that!

I consider the next one as looking sort of like a Christmas ornament.

It's pretty and it has a rich texture...similar to
those ancient Christmas balls they made in the past.

Uguel, your nice cardinal picture reminds me just a bit of a cherry pie with powdered sugar being sprinkled on top

lol, a cherry pie with powdering sugar!:D
you're funny! Or maybe a bit hungry tooo_O?

    Hey thank you Sonya& Beetleboss!

wow, Sonya, it's been a while......
    Nice to hear from you.:)
If you are a bit busy and would like to learn
stg that doesn't take all your time, here's
a very short tute I did for Graphic Playground
that I will share with you here!
...you try it whenever you like;)

    Noise Glittering Tutorial
An Easy Way to Glitter An Image With Paint Shop Pro And Animation Shop

Most of the time, we use glittering .gifs to glitter an image but there is an
easier way to do it especially if we aim for a smoother effect like in this image...

Here's a li'l tutorial I prepared on how to glitter an image
with a noise effect. If there is something that is not clear,
you might have a look at the tutorial screenshot below or you can
reply to this post and ask your questions after. Here we go....

    1. First open a tube of an image you like in Paint Shop Pro.

    2. Duplicate that layer 3 times in order to get 3 layers in all.

    3. Select the first layer at the bottom and add a noise effect on it
by going to the Menu > Adjust > Add & Remove Noise > Add Noise...

    Apply these settings :

    Uniform checked
    Noise 50 %
    click OK

    4. Select layer 2 and do the same as you did for layer 1

    5. Select layer 3, and again, do the same as you did for layer 1 and 2.

----> do not forget to highlight each layer separately <-----

    * Yes, there will be a different effect in each of the layer even
by applying exactly the SAME settings!*

Then you can export it as a .gif in Jasc Animation Shop.
I set the time lapse to 10 for each frame.
    Save it as a .gif

Voilà, you're done! That was easy, eh?

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

My Way of Exportings Images into Animation Shop

Another easy I like to export my layers into Animation Shop consists
of clicking each frame separately so I select an image and then
I right click on it and paste it in Jasc Animation Shop. But you must
select one frame at a time and lock (or put a red x on) the other frames
when doing that. And of course, you do not close Paint Shop
and leave your images or layers there until you are finished exporting
all of them. See the screenshot...and the following explanations below.

this is how I do it:

when you're still in Paint Shop Pro....
you right click on the image of frame 1, then choose "copy" and once in
Jasc Amimation shop, you right click again and choose "Paste as a New
Animation" then you go retrieve layer 2, ( select layer2, put your cursor on the image and you right click and copy you go back to Jasc Animation Shop, you highlight the first layer, right click on it and choose* "Paste after active frame". Now You have 2 frames next to the other. You do the same with layer 3 but you will paste it after frame 2 instead of rame 1. So now you will have your 3 frames side by side!

Play your animation and save it as a .gif

    Et voilà, you're done!:)

N.B. My Animation program is in French
some words or terms may differ a little! :a010:

The screenshot below shows what I did in Paint Shop
before exporting the images in Animation Shop.

More examples...made with a few areas selected only.
I used the Magic Wand, progressivity and feather
both set to 0. One you select the areas with
the Magic Wand, duplicate all layers you need
before applying the noise effect in them.

Hey HandsOff, the one you sent in #2177
looks great. It can also make a very nice
    desktop too.

Thanks for the tutorial Uguel :)
Here is a Christmas tree I made using the tutorial, my first one :D It has noise or something on the outside around the tree though. Originally it had a white background, but I inverted it, so the noise would only go on the tree, but it didn't work to well, lol  But not bad for my first one, huh? :D My next one will be better:D :D

    Wow, it looks great Sonya!
It is very good and plus you said it's only your first one.
Do not worry about the noise, you can always remove it
by opening your animation in Animation Shop and then
you export it in Paint Shop by going to Edit>Select All >then you go to
File and you choose > Export Images > Paint Shop Pro (Maj+x)

Once your animation is in Paint Shop...

then you can erase all the li'l spots in each frame.
(use the magnifier tool, much easier!)
When you're done, you just close your animation
by clicking on the red x at the right corner of your
image, and then, there will be a message window popping up
asking you if you want to save the changes you made,
    just answer yes.

Notice that you can erase the spots in Animation Shop
too but I find it much easier to do in Paint Shop for
the program has more tools and works faster.

I had a try at it Sonya. First I resized your animation
and then I removed the li'l spots and also redrew the
    cat's face a bit.

    * I redrew the cat's face a bit, doesn't he look like an imp now?

    Looks great Uguel :D
I tried exporting it from Animation Shop to Paint Shop, and I did all you said, I went to edit, and " selected all" but when I went to file/export frames, the export to PaintShop option is greyed out, and I can't select it o_O and I tried the (shift x) it didn't work either. I also tried it with other Gifs. and it didn't work for them. The only option that's not greyed out, is "to picture tube".
I now remember I had this same problem a long while back, but I never figured out what I was doing wrong .I guess I could copy & paste each frame into PaintShop, but I'd still like to know why I can't use the export option though . :D

Yes, I worked day and night on it. And then, of all the nerve, Marja steps in and takes the credit! Then vanished to her hideout in the hills somewhere!

Big Buck - I was just making some more ornament type stuff, and I realized some of my programs I use do make things that recur in pretty elaborate patterns. I'm going to give fractals a try in the near future. I seemed to have stumbled onto a 'fractals cult'. This could be my chance!

This one is a little ornamenty:

Oh, I know what you mean. It does that to me too sometimes.
I can't explain why. There are times when I have no problem at all
    and other times that I have a hell of a time exporting them;
the menu becomes grey out like you said and nothing responds.
All of it under the same software's environment and configuration.
That's typically PSP's behaviour! You did the right thing here.
Hey, you might try to paste your fir's animation over a
Wintery background. It would look great!;)

Nice one HO Hopefully this one wasn't as long to make
as the big one you posted in #2177, hey?
