Thanks for the comeback but I found the gradients and how to use them. When I downloaded the PhotoFiltre program there are folders that are in with the program folder. These folders are called Masks. Patterns, Plugins and Selections. Within the Patterns folder are some JEG files consisting of different patterns. I have not figured out how to use these pattern files in the program. Thanks

I just found a way to use the pattern files. When you create a new blank image one of the options is for a background for this new blank images, also when you increase the canvas size for photograph that you have open you can include a background for this increase of canvis size. Thanks for taking the time to try and help a beginner.

...he was singing like a female opera singer.
"Hell" is good, especially the center of the picture, which I find to be the best part of it; the colours are stong and the shapes, lyric and playful. ;)

I am glad you found it mccoy!... :) and those implimented backgrounds are
.jpg format; we can take any .jpg pictures we have for the background
then. I tried one as an example. I opened the witch picture in Photofiltre
and chose this purple background that is in the program folder. And I could
have chose another .jpg picture, not necessarely one inplimented in Photo
filtre and it would have worked alright.

... made with a Photofiltre background

Made with Photofiltre again with a different background than the
ones provided by Photofiltre. Just a .jpg picture I had already. :)

Now, for our theme...I do not have a real good control on
that fractal program. I just open my image in it, see an
abstract title definition for a picture and just try it.
Some all look the same. But it's a shareware, so they limited it.

I'm glad you liked it. I do have a tendancy to make absurd scenes. this puts off the majority of my critics! I made some use of flaming pear' "tessiation" But this effect still seems best suited to display the classic tripper stereotype.

One thing I keep putting off is learning how to use "Tiles". Tessiation, and some other of my favorite programs make tiles, but I just manually put them together. I'm sure there is a quicker way!

    Hey! I was #2,000!

BTW Uguel, I see you made that fractal program work. My confidence is at a low ebb, but when I feel sharper I still plan on trying it!

Here is further manipulation of my last picture. This one features the fill stamp tool from alien skin splat, used to make her pills

Hi Uguel- I went back to admire the pastel colors and became confused. For a long time I could not see the faces. I remembered then as being very clear and well defined. Now I feel like editing the post and saying find the missing girls.

That is an interesting new avatar, by the way. It reminds me of Daryl Hannah.

    Continuing with warm...

This one actually was for the "Hope" subject......so 'hopin' ya all don't mind if it's a little late.........It's made with one of my fave wallpapers.......called 'Watching'.....then I used mostly PhotoFiltre to take out the color and posterize it...........I am thinkin' alot of people are gonna have to do this to get through all the weather probs and what comes with them this year.

    Cheers!

    Hey everyone
Sorry I've been away so long. Been really busy on another site I'm a member of, but I'l be around more :D
This is just a cemetary pic I come across on the net. I love this font, it's called Black Rose.
I've been collecting lots of fonts from a site called Dafont, or something like that. Hopefully this one won't blow the page,
I'll be back with more creepy pics, lol :D
Uguel, I'm always glad to join in :)

    Hi everyone-

Sonya, that is a great picture!

Uguel, thanks for those kind words. For a moment I thought you were refering to my scupture/picture. I actually like it quite a bit. The hole in the head, the simplicity, the warm inner world and the cold environment...Well, I was sort of thinking of it as a self portrait!

Marja, have you paid your ISP bill yet?

Those of you who like to customize windows probably know that it is possible to specify a "default icon". In practice it seems like it is really XP's "I don't know what else to give it icon", or more simply, the unknown file type. the icon xp uses is really lame. the ones that some other programs install are even worse...like big fat question marks. That sure inspires confidence, seeing a directory full of question marks. My latest one is this (actually, minus the background). Somehow, for me, it seems to capture the spirit of how I view mystery files on the computer.

have you seen GIMPshop? it's Gimp but it's had it's GUI changed so it looks just like Adobe Photoshop. have alook at the screenshots down the page.

Well, I liked it enough to save it on my pc!;) It made me think of an extra-terrestrial movie I saw long ago. "An Enemy Mine" save that
your alien looks much friendlier than the one in the movie. It is
a very special creation that you have here.... both mysterious
    and beautiful.
