Re: Paint Shop Pro & PhotoFiltre Talk

Thanks Eldar! And there were quite a few more in the transition sequence that I may post if it comes to that!

BTW - I have found that the line tool is very efficent for editing the icons in Iconworkshop. I do most editing in photoshop, but sometimes its good to clean them up, and the line tool is pretty cool. it seems to try to help you transition colors - sort of hard to explain, but you may find it easier to use than the brush or pencil.

I like to drag out the chrome and lacquer effects whenever possible. Check out my customization of A-Squared's icon. I was doing one for Ewido to, only, it just sort of melted...back to the drawing program, as they say.

(i think i will try a different font for Ewido, the E looks too much like the explorer E in shape)

since my other pictures have not gone very well, here are some ICONS!

Also, I should say that A2 and Ewido have well made icons (each with nine built in resolutions, if i remember right). So, I want to give props to the makers of the original icons. Good work iconners!

I think I am a lot different now than I was back when I started playing with picture editing. I came across what I think was my very first use of a special effects plugin. I thought it looked pretty bad so I went to work. The result is the same, but different. And maybe not quite as bad?

Nice looking icons HandsOff. Looking forward to see the rest.
Didn't have time yet to start working with my registered Iconworkshop.
Too much to do at present. :doubt:
Like it very much and the second one is really well done.
Keep up the good work. ;)

I don't think there's an option to clear those files, but I could be wrong. o_O
You can ask the question at their forum. ;)

Thank you for the reply. Am not very good in forums so I stay out of them. But thanks for the suggestion. Will have to get a work around somehow. The list could really build up after a while.

    Hi beef/it/up,

Maybe you could run a system and registry search for the file extension noting where they turn up, think pfi's?

Of course in the registry you'd search for the program. ;)

will do as you suggested an if anything is discovered will share the info. So far it was un-installed and re-installed to entail removal of "recent files".

I found if you just move the files to a new folder after closing photofilter that they will not reappear next time you run the app. Maybe it clears links that are no longer valid.

    HANDSOFF

For some reason that does not work for me. Even deleted the files and re-booted. The Recent File entries remained. Which is why the program was un-installed/re-installed. The images don't show once the files are removed but the file Title remains in Recent Files. Guess I will download a backup of everything an play with this for a while to see what if anything I am doing in-correctly.

Thank you HandsOff, oh, just noticed that the person is back who is using my NIC's.......so either will register or just continue changing NIC. It no big issue with me. Just rather sad that someone would deliberately try to cause a problem with someone they do not even know..

Thats too bad, it did work for me. I use Window Washer on pretty high settings. I wonder if there could be a connection?

Curious what you meant by someone using your NIC. NIC to me means Network Interface Card, which is somewhere inside the computer...If you mean someone tapping into your internet connection...Maybe you could split the ISP cost with them!
