Sonya, I think I have lost everything but the file menu, so can't help ya there?!

Clicking on the workarea didn't help either? Would have thought it would.......

Right now, my fonts are disappearing faster than I can d'ld more.....LOL!

Glad to know I am not the only one that loses stuff! :D

Hope it gets to working for ya, and YES! My puter slows waay down too.........that PSP just needs to be revamped or something.......it gets to be a pain to use sometimes, and I got the ram, but ........it's like a deadweight on your puter, that's for sure!

    Have a great weekend!

    Marja:cool:

I know is you lose your tool menu, you can press F1.
If you see my fonts, send them Home! OK! :D

Gee Sonya, I just found it this morning :doubt:
By doing SHIFT+A toggles the Menu Bar on and off.
Also, another way, by right clicking anywhere in the program,
you go to Workplace > Load > Default.....
But the faster is SHIFT+A. ;)

... yes, but it was long ago.
The worst thing about PSP is the Magic Eye :(
...I'll tell about it later :D

Hey Marja, does it happen when you write the text in the li'l "Text Entry Box"
or right when you're about to paste the text in the pic? o_O

Thank you :) Shift A? I think I tried everything but shift A, LOL :D Anyway, thank you, it's nice to know if it gets lost again, I can bring it back home where it belongs :D
Gosh Uguel, now I'm curious what the Magic Eye is? Is it a good thing , or bad? You said "wost thing" so I'm thinkin it's bad! lol :D o_O o_O o_O o_O o_O

    HI Uguel!

About the fonts - they are disappearing completely from my puter, so it's not a PSP thing, it's somethin else!?

But they are all the ones I like too! :(

If you know why would be interested in hearing what to do? But, I noticed they are totally gone, and they are fonts that ususally come with the MS prog, so........o_O

If they were the ones that you get from some of those fonts sites, I might understand but these aren't..

    Thanks though!!

Re: Paint Shop Pro & PhotoFiltre Talk

Hmmm...the Magic Eye is something I discovered since I had
PSP 7 but it still does it with PSP 9 from time to time. It is a
very stange behaviour that I noticed to my great astonishment
while working hard on a pic. I told my husband about it, for he
knows a great deal about computers, but he rejected my reasoning
    with a big laugh. :doubt:

Nevertheless, I still believe that there is a
li'l evil device that was implemented in the program to make it
crash only if your pic is very good. The reason why I say that
is that my computer never crash when my pic looks cheap or
lackluster it only does it when it's rather good or very pretty.
And things get worse if you exclaim : Wow! Yeah! Hurray!
Or, if you say something like: Hey, did you see that?"...
Shhhhhhhhhhhhh! the program might shut down like a bat out of
hell without saving anything. :p I know this may sounds crazy
but since I experienced many crashes while doing a good pic only.
I imagine this li'l evil device hidden in the program and giggling
at my efforts or attempts at creating something decent.
Sure that gadget might have been installed by jealous people at Jasc, lol! :D
Of course, you're not obliged to believe this even if I do.....
The only way I can counter that li'l demon is by saving my pic
as soon as it starts to look good.

Hey Marja, I never had any of these issues with my fonts.
but maybe you can check this...go to your Font Folder Menu >
Tools > Folder Options... > True Type Fonts > and then see if
"Show only true Type Font" is unchecked...for some of the fonts
we download aren't True Type all the time. See screenshots.

    LOL, rotflmao <--seriously :D
well that explains it. I was doing a very pretty animated heart yesterday (lots of work, and took a looong time) I kept calling my daughter in here to look at it, and then out of nowhere PSP crashed, and I lost it all , and then the electric went off for about an hour :doubt:
lol, then when the electric came back on, the little (x) on the file menu just appeared, and me being a beginner, I didn't know so I clicked it, and it set me up  And I'm not kidding, it's true!
    :D
It is not the heart in my last screenshot. If I ever get it done again, i'll show ya :D

Why those evil Jasc people! Why are they so mean to us! LOL!

Glad I read that story, Uguel, now I know who to blame when I don't like my pics! :D

I believe you too Sonya! Maybe we should sacrifice one pic a month to the Jasc God of Art! LOl! (We can exclaim it's the best we have EVER done, and see if it works! )

Lol, right, same for you Marja...if you want to show a pretty pic
to someone never say "Come to see my pretty pic" but rather
"Come to see my horrid pic" or even better "Hey, I got something
dreadful to show you" I can guarantee you that PSP won't crash! lol! :D

...hey, just to tell you that I found a link that tells about fonts
that disappear and they tell what you can do about it.
You might have a look at this link. ;)

Tried to do the changing the backround thing again....
First off this is Daphney~our Alicia's cat....(she doesn't really like the rest of us :doubt: lol)

Anyway, I used the feathering thing......love that!! (So, you'll be seeing alot it probably)

    Then, I did edit>copy

opened a new backround.....went back to edit>paste as transparent layer.....(I like that one cuz you can move the picture around)

Don't think that how you were tell'in me to do it, right Uguel?

Re: Paint Shop Pro & PhotoFiltre Talk

I think I figured it out. I saved a picture from Apple Blossom art yesterday, and it was HUGE  I didn't realize it until I tried to do the moving words in PhotoImpact, and it was about as big as 2 computer screens, lol :D And it was a JPEG. I figured it would have been a BMP. Anywho, I deleted the picture, and restarted my computer, and everything seems to be fine now. :D But good thing I typed that it seems ok now, instead of saying it outloud, lol because of that magic eye, and PSP would crash again, lol :D

Nice picture of the cat Beetleboss!...that seems to be a real happy cat,
she looks really cozy among all those blankets! :)

That was the right thing to do BB, it is just that maybe you did not reduce the opacity of the cat (or second layer) but in your case, since your cat is not very dark, it is better that you did it that way, otherwise we won't see the cat enough. Most of the time I reduce the opacity if my subject has strong colour or sharp lines. It all depends again. ;)

    ok,....a wild dog.

lol, don't worry if someday I come across that magic eye,
I'll change it for a black eye, lol! :D

...there's a man I know who keeps wolves, a moose and a bear
around his house in Quebec! He makes me think of Grizzly
Adams. :) I only kept a raccoon for a couple of years.

...this one makes me think of Snoopy.
I tried to make it look like an oil painting, I exaggerated the nose a bit. :)

Here's another picture of my dog Neeko. Not as I see her, but more as how I feel the local cats and squirels see her.

If Hands can have koi that arent' coy and a Darth Vader dog, guess we can have our own brand of pet! LOL! [IMG]
