This picture of my two American Staffordshire Terriers, Neeko and Sonia. I sleep much better knowing they are around. I had to crop and resize down to almost nothing. This effect does not compress well.

    It is Panopticum Digitalizer, ect...

Okay, I'm running out of pets here. This is of my Koi. I was trying to figure out some filters, but never did.

Hey! Hands! Great pics, why your koi aren't coy at all! :p

Well, ya wanted pets, and I got a ton of them- this is my dog Spot.

It was his Birthday Saturday - so we threw him his favorite party! A Pool Party!

He loved it! All his little friends came over and had a really great time!!

Used VP filter and lux lighting, put some color from Flaming Pear, chiseled the inside of the frame and used water ripples for a frame...........

    He just loved his party!!

Glad I'm not the only one with pets. I have names for some of my fish. This one I call "Fiona"

    - HandsOff

P.S. I used an old Ulead Morph program on the fish. For I while I looked for a better one, but did not like anything that wasnt either expensive or hard to learn. The twin terrors of pixel pushers!

    Great effects, HandsOff. :)

    Sorry to hear that Eldar!
you always been very creative, helpful and friendly
feel free to say Hello from time to time for we
will miss you a lot! :(

I hope you son is getting better... ;)

    Nice pic BB! :)
ok, here's a li'l tuto I prepared specially for you.....

First, open your background picture in PSP, let say your castle picture...
We will now convert it into a layer....
*Keep in mind that the background picture will be the first layer
and will also be the backdrop in front of which all other layers will appear* So in my case the blue background will be the first layer and your castle will be the second layer. With your background picture open in PSP, you go to the layers Palette and you right click on the name of your pic or background that appears in gray, see mine, I had "blue_background" in the layer palette. Once you right click on it, you will see a context menu window opening, choose "Promote Background Layer" from the Menu. See set 1 below. ;)

Then open your second pic in PSP, let's say your castle is pic number 2, left click on your castle picture to select it then right click on it and again... a context window appears, Select "Copy" then click on your background or picture number 1 to select it, keep your pointer in that picture then right click and choose " Paste As New Layer". Now, what you see is the pic of your castle pasted over the background, it is good but all you can see is your pic overlapping another one and you do not see the background anymore...So you have to reduce the castle's opacity in order to see the background through it. All you have to do is to go to the Layers Palette, click and select the castle layer (notice the small cursor to the left of number 100) you move the cursor to the left to reduce the opacity until you are satisfied with the result. You can crop the picture once you are done and apply any effects you want. See set 2 below.
...oh! I added "cursor" in pink letters but it is a bit difficult to read! :doubt:

Save your pic as a .JPG

If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask. ;)

Here's the result. Nothing to write home about but just an example
on how you can merge or combine 2 layers together. ;)

Hi all :) Great pictures
Can someone tell me if theres a way to clear the clipboard while working in PSP? I have good memory on my PC, but everytime I try to do something in PSP, everything slows waaay down. So I figure maby since PSP is such a memory hog :D maby if I keep the clipboard clear it will help some.
I will be back soon with a picture of my spoiled rotton cats. :p

Re: Paint Shop Pro & PhotoFiltre Talk

Edit: I just found it... :D
You can go to the Menu> Edit> Empty Clipboard...

...also saving and closing the program, even if the pic
you're working on isn't finished might help too.
But here's what you can do to if you want the
clipboard to be emptied automatically after you saved your pic....

Go to the Menu > File > Preferences > General >
Program Preferences > Miscellaneous. To the right
of "CLipboard data on Exit" there is a little
rectangle. Scroll it down to "delete" hit delete,
and then click ok. See screenshot. Also,
what I use to do every time I finish working
on a pic, I close the program before I restart
working on a new picture. And, once in a week
I run CCleaner and delete all temporary files
that are save to remove...PSP uses to store
a few to a great deal of them. ;)

Can't you view the Windows clipboard at any time by going Start, Run, clipbrd.exe ?

Re: Paint Shop Pro & PhotoFiltre Talk

Hey Sonia, try this: right click anywhere in the program,
a context menu window will appear then you can go to
Customize > Toolbars > then you highlight
"Menu Bar" and hit "Reset". I am not sure if it will work
but it will be worth trying.

..... you can also move your mouse at the top from left to right,
just on the same level where you have "Enhance Photo",
and see if there is a context menu window showing when
doing that. If there is one, hit View > toolbars >Standart.

And...in case nothing works, :doubt: you can right click anywhere
in the program and chose "Open" from the context menu to
be able to open an image.

    Hope this help! ;)

Good advice!... thanks, it works fine! :)

Re: Paint Shop Pro & PhotoFiltre Talk

    Uguel, Thanks :)
I tried everything, but I could not find it :(
So I just uninstalled it, and reinstalled. Probably doesn't make since, but I couldn't open any images, or find the file menu. So if I ever see that little (x) at the top of the menus, I aint clicking it anymore :D
Anywho, everything is back to normal now except some of my settings, I will have to re-do them, but it's all good :D
Have any of you ever lost your file menu before? Just curious how you got it back.
