    I love the baby pictures.

Here's a photo of my grandson, Brendon. Wanna see a thousand more? *grin* Click on the photo to go to his blog.

I use Paint Shop Pro 5 to manipulate my photos. I bought PSP 7, but I haven't figured out how to use it...now they are up to 9. I also have PhotoShop 4.0 that came with my computer several years ago... still haven't figured out how to use that either.

Welcome to this PSP thread too.
You never can collect enough pictures of your grandchildren.
still have to sort all those I took of my sons.
Too many to begin with. :D
 PSP 5 - Wow, that was a long time ago. Seems like ages.
You've come to the right place to learn how to use those programs.
Be sure to start at the beginning and work your way through.

If you've questions, don't hesitate to post them.

Made a picture of your grandson too with PSP9. ;)
Thanks Cindy, he does look annoyed on that picture.
Got a bit bored, so started making a fantasy again. :D :D

    Have a nice weekend. :-*

That's marvelous. I will print it out and give it to him. :)

What did you mean when you say, "Work your way through?" Did you mean this thread or the PSP programs? Is it really worth it to buy PSP 9?

    You're most welcome. ;)
I meant this thread, a lot to read but also a lot of lessons which can help you. You'll be busy for some time. :D
I've upgraded everytime and as always new features were introduced, bugs fixed.
If you want to know what changed in between, the best you can do is download the trial and afterwards you can decide whether you want to buy it or not. :)
Thanks Brad, yours are really great too. ;)

One of these days, when I get a round 2-it, I intend to make a scrapbook for Brendon. These graphics would look great in it. Thanks again!

    That's a nice pic pamelajoy! :)
Your grandson has a great smile!

...If I were you I would start using PSP7 before buying
version 9. Even though I have version 9 on my computer
I still have version 7 installed for I find it simpler to use
and less resource-demanding. I also noticed that most tutorials
that are written for version 8 or 9, can still be done with version 7.
Don't get me wrong. version 9 is a great program and it has lots
of features but I think that if you haven't used any other
version after version 5, it can be overwhelming for a new user. ;)

....our friends at the table :D

Re: Paint Shop Pro & PhotoFiltre Talk

I have PSP 5 on my desktop and PSP 7 on my laptop. I had PSP 8 on the laptop when it was new, but I couldn't see buying that version when I had two already. ;)

I have been reading this thread from the beginning.

I can do many things in PSP 5, and when I start out in PSP 7, I get discouraged because I can't even do the things that I already know how to do on PSP 5 (same with Photoshop). I am too impatient!

How about castles for the new theme? I don't think they have been chosen yet. Let me know if they've been done already, and I'll choose another.
I didn't do much to this picture. Enhanced, and added the outer bevel. I also added the 2 eagles flying over the castle.

Re: Paint Shop Pro & PhotoFiltre Talk

Don't get discouraged, PSP 7 was a lot easier to work with.
Tried PhotoShop once, but no way to get something simple done. :doubt:
It all comes down to know your program and tools, so you'll have to be a little patient to get started, although that's sometimes difficult. :D
Keep reading and you'll catch up pretty fast. ;)
Great choice, like that very much. :D
LOL ... I feel some fantasy coming on. :p
Wow ... looks like a fairy tale castle.
    Nope ... got you! :D
Sure that counts. Nice castle and frame.
    A neon effect. That's great Brad :)
    Fantasy again?
    Looks like Dracula's castle. :ninja:
Well done on all three Brad.

I started working on a picture today and applied a radial mirror to the castle. Also added three dragons, from which one was duplicated and mirrored.
Applied a Xero Mistifier effect, but still I wasn't satisfied with the result.
Tried some of my filters and was really surprised when I applied the Harry filter > Nature > Dawning effect.
That's exactly what I wanted it to be. :D
    So here's my Dragons Dawn.

    Nice pix everyone :)
Can anyone tell me how to use the watermark? Has anyone here ever used it before?

For this castle I did the cut out effect, and added the ducks, and the red flowers :)

This is actually a seminary in California, based on a castle plan.

Added a chalk effect and a refracted Coroboree border with colored and sharpened edges.
