Look at my pink baby, I used Auto FX Bonus demo to soften it!
I like that software a lot, even if it is a limited edition. :)

    About the filters&plugins...
I know that with Paint Shop we can set the program in order to
be able to look into the Adobe plugins and retrieve them accordingly.
But adobe doesn't have that option, it won't look in Paint Shop folder.

...thanks Bigbuck and beetleboss for the letters tips&tuto :)

...our friend Blair and Millie :) with a filter called Phong
applied around 24% pixels opacity from the layer palette.
...I usually never apply the filter directly on the picture if
I am not sure of the result. I go to the Layer Palette and then I just
promote the original pic to a background layer then I duplicate it and
apply the filter on the duplicated layer. I can customize the opacity of
the layer by moving the cursor of the layer to the right (decrease) or
    to the left (increase).

So this is the Layer Palette.. "background"
or the first layer down below is the original pic.
"copy of background" is the duplicated image of "background"
which I customized (by moving the cursor) the opacity.
The baby picture was set to 24 opacity..... and then,
I increased the opacity a bit in order to get more effect right after
    I applied the filter :)

Some filters make the pic ugly if apply directly on the picture
with 100% opacity. So it is good to change your pic to a layer,
apply a filter on it and then you can adjust the opacity after.

this one is closer to reality... compared to the one in post#1547 :)
I applied Flaming Pear> Aetherize>Superlay with opacity set to 14 pixels only.

Normally text can be inserted normally, but sometimes the arrow is pointing to the left.
    Why? I don't know. o_O
If that happens, select the Pen Tool and click on the node till you see the arrow.
Afterwards Reverse Path by right clicking on the node.
It's been described in the lesson Cindy pointed you to. ;)

You're really doing great everyone.
Sorry for not participating like I normally do.
Quite busy with the kids, sick again, and my garden + it's really
lovely weather here. About 30 degrees Celsius. :p
Yikes, I don't like working in the garden.

    Anyhow I made one pic.

Did your parents ever tell you that if you ate too much of something that you would turn into one?

BB - That picture made from little pictures is definitely cool. I was just beginning to think that I might not need anymore plugins. Lots of people ask me if I really need over 15,000 plugins. The answer is, 'I just need one more.'

    Can I ask another question?? :D :D :D lol
I looked back but don't see how to do this. To make the people transparent to the background like in this picture. Like with no background around the people. I know they are cut out somehow, but the magic wand would not work for me  And I held down the CTRL button while I was selecting. :doubt:

    Hi Sonya,
I actually did that one in Dig Image Pro, which is super simple for stuff like that. But I just had a play in PSP and copied and pasted (as a new layer)the baby's face onto a black background....then I simply moved the opacity slider as shown in the screenie below....
    HTH,
    Brad.

Re: Paint Shop Pro & PhotoFiltre Talk

It seems pretty easy Sonya, I just had another go. I opened two pics. Used the freehand tool to select. I used a feather of about 40, so I didn't have to be very neat. Edit, copy, go to the second pic, paste as a new layer, then change the opacity. This one took about 30secs to do...... ;)

Use the Eraser and the Background Eraser, as well as the selection tool.
    - Background Eraser
    - Eraser
First you've to promote your image to a Background Layer (> Layers) and afterwards use the Magic Wand by holding the Shift. When done with your selection just press Delete.
Not the CTRL, because that one is used to undo a certain selection. ;)
