    H'Off,
It was a watercolour effect! ....and it was Clint not JT ;) ....mind you, I like JT too....just not in spaghetti westerns!
    Eric,
Are you using that plugin manager that you need to install some of those Filter Factory filters?
    Brad.

Sure, it was Clint Eastwood. :)
Haven't installed that manager yet, but it's not needed to install those filters.
Plugin Commander Light (free) can be used to put some order in your filters
and deactivate the ones you don't want to use.

Thanks eric, but I went to this page http://stevesdesktopphotography.com/plugins.htm and DL'd a zip which contained an unknkown file .ffi or something like that... Are you using any of these ones off this page?

    BTW, another watercolour...

I'm not using those, only the Filter Factory plugins. If I'm not wrong those are PhotoShop plugins. o_O
Great picture of the Duke. :D

    Senor Eldar -

Your comments on not finding the corporate version are at the center of my situation. It's like this...The trial, pretty much is the corporate version. Then when it comes time to order you will (unless this has changed in the last couple of weeks) find that you have a choice of two versions. They do not sound very different at first and you may decide to save some $ and get the Personal Version (or whatever they call it)...which is what I did. Then came the realization, confusion, disillusionment, and even worse...

    Their customer support was super!

I ment to say a post or two ago, something about circles flattening. Does this make sense: When you select a circle in any of a number of ways (select all, or magic wand) or even create a new canvas or layer with the same dimensions of the circle, and then past the circle, you will usually have a problem. For some reason the canvas is not quite made large enough. Now when you resize, or paste to a new canvas, or whatever, you are pasting not a circle, but a circle with four little flat spots. Big flat spots if you resized it big. This may be related to the flat problem you are having.
It's a nuisance, but if you prefer your favorite objects to be round you have to anticipate and make their canvases larger than the circle. Confused? -- My world, and welcome to it!

Hey Brad, and everyone --- If i'm not mistaken, originally you were able to use Filter Factory to make your own plugins. I don't remember much else, except that for some reason that ability was taken away from us humble filter users. That rankles! If you ever come across a renegade version, I'd love to see it! Or even if you find some details about what happened to it and why.

Damn it, I want to make a plugin!!!

    - HandsOff

P.S. If it's not to much trouble, Brad, could you send me the original photo of the mayor of Carmel...Clint Eastwood.

P.P.S. Window's picture and fax view caught in the act of truncating a circle:

    O.K. Coral, now that's a classic.
Looks great, although I don't know what it means. :D
That's what I thought when reading the difference on their website between the Standard and the Corporate. :)
Still in trial though, but when I buy it, it will be the Corporate Edition. First have to try some things out, to see if it works with PSP and Constructor, but it sure looks good. So many apps to try out.
Good to hear they've great customer support. :D
It makes sense to me and thanks for the tip. Never thought about that before. :doubt:

    Edit:
Did you take a look here. ;)

THIS IS A PAINTING I 'FOUND', WITH NO ARTIST SIG, WOULD HAVE LIKED TO KNOW.

I ADDED TO THE REFLECTION WITH RIPPLES, ADDED MORE REFRACTION WITH JAMA3D, PLAYED WITH THE LIGHTING/CONTRAST/SHARPEN WITH VARIOUS FILTERS ADDED A SMALL BORDER FROM ALIENWARE'S COLLECTION,.

IT'S SOON TO RUN OUT OF TRIAL.:'( BETTER START USING IT ALOT! :D

LOL! LOTS MORE FILTERS OUT THERE, LIKE ELDAR SAID.

(This is probably how our pets see us, aaah, how cute, right?)

IT'S JUST CALLED LOOKINGLASS, SOUNDS RIGHT TO ME!

    THANKS!

Re: Paint Shop Pro & PhotoFiltre Talk

I thought about putting a gaussian blur on it because I don't really like the texture of it...I tried alot of different filters, even photo filters, finally settled on just sharpening, doing lighting different - a couple of things, BUT!

If anyone can point me to, or tell me the best way to make a painting look it's best, I would really be thankful! I still don't know enough to ask the right questions, sometimes, but I just wanted it to look smoother than it does, and everything I tried made it too blurry or muddy looking. So, any cogent advice would be appreciated!

    Thanks!

I suppose you deactivated it. (= you ticked the cross) :doubt:
Go to View > Toolbar and check the ones you want to see.
The same applies to the Palettes.
Or right click on any Toolbar to see the same options.
Can't look it up, because I'm at work. :D

Great Looking Glass and nice picture for BigC.

    Till later this evening. ;)

HAS ANYONE'S PARENTS OR GRAND'S SAY, "IT'S WAS SOOO COLD BACK IN MY DAY, IT SHATTERED ..........(FILL IN FAVORITE SHATTERED OBJECT :) )?

DECIDED TO SEE WHAT ELSE ALIENWARE WOULD DO AND CAME UP WITH

    "SHATTERED FENCES".

IT IS PRETTY COOL, YOU CAN MAKE IT LOOK LIKE AN EXPLOSION OF GLASS, THE TIME THE GLASS SHATTERED, ALL KINDS OF NIFTY ARTFUL WEAPONS....LOL!

THIS IS AT JUST THE SHATTERING POINT, WITH A FRAME I MADE FROM JAMA3D'S LATTICE MAKER, DON'T YOU THINK JAMA3D OUGHT TO HIRE ME AS A SPOKESPERSON?! LOL!

I MADE A TINY LITTLE BLUE BORDER, JUST CAUSE - I COULD! :D

THAT'S HOW THIS PIC OF A SNOWY RANGE WITH CROSSED LOG FENCING CAME TO BE!

    THANKS!
