No worry, I will send you a screenshot! ;)

Okay Sonia, the Menu is all the options you can see at the top of the program. Like File, Edit, View, Image, Effects, Adjust, Layers, Objects, Selections, Windows, and Help. All of them are part of the Menu.

Where you have to go now is to "View" so you click on the
"View" options and then a dropdown menu will pop up. Go down till
you see "Palettes" and then you will see another menu showing
on the right, click on "Tool Options" .

Hopefully by doing this you might be able to see the text option menu.
    ...see screenshot

Lol, glad it works!!!! :) :D

Hey, just a tip: whenever something "is not there" you will
make it appear again by going into the menu, and then you select "view"
Once in "view" click on the different options and watch what is happening
in your program while doing so....you will see many tools showing or
    disapearing. :)

Okay, the Magic Wand is in the fifth tool in the palette.
Sometimes you have to click on the little black arrow to see it.
Everytime you see a little black arrow it means that there is more
    tools to be found....

Il will have to go but before just to make sure you are alright,
I prepared a few screenshots that might help you just in case....

when you will be ready to fill your first text with the glittering
you will have to go to the colour palette and click on the first
square in order to get to the glittering pattern.....

mine is black but your might be white or whatever......

...so you click right in the square where you see the red X.
Then you will see this window. Click on "Pattern".

..once you have selected "glittering1" (or image 1) fill you first text frame
or layer with it then you select your second text and you fill it with
"glittering 2" you do the same for your third text and fill it with "glittering3"

The mistake I often make is to take the same glittering 2 times!
Be careful to select a different glittering for each text you have!

Uguel! I think those last screen shots you put up, helped a needed key to using layers click in my mind, finally! I guess seeing the palette layers and those little boxes, I never knew what in the world they were for! lol! NOW, I do. I am finally on the road to 'glitter/sparkle-mania'!!

This first pic is without the Redfield filter I used on it, so I am posting both so people can see at least one of the Redfield filters does. They are quite cool!!

The picture really didn't need my help, so I just framed it with two major borders, used the chisel effect (depth 20  I remembered one!), the first border I added noise ramdomly set at 20% monochrome (this is scary, isn't it!)-the second border I used the Magic Wand (also the first), used the reflection effect at 90% angle, 3across, 3 down, all zeros at the other "boxes":):))and that's all for the first one.

Naturally, I call it, 'The Big Meooww" pt 1. LOL!

This is the one with one of the deform filters by Redfield, that we d/ld a while back. I can't wait to try more of them, they are so easy, with little "controls" (yes, Eldar, love those controls!) on them and everything. :D

Some of these controls I don't know what they are for, HA! I mean most of them!

I will write the ones I DO know down. Check Ant-Aiiasing, -11 S shading, 05 S the blur, 16 Deform, 71 Light Exiting, 18 Saturation, 31 for Brightness, the angle of the S bar = 068V and 013H. Since it was actually the first time I used it, haven't had a chance to see what else it does. All and all I am happy with it!

 Wow, great pictures Marja. Those filters are really great to work with.

If you like filters, here's where to look for them :D:
    - PhotoShop filters
    - Filters (only in Dutch, sorry), also some are not free.

You applied the filter on the entire picture, but you can also make a rectangular selection (or another) to apply the filter only to that region.
I copied your beautiful cat image and applied the VM filter > Instant Tiles
(VM consists of a set of 144 filters  ) to a region.

When using the Layers do play with the Opacity and the Blend modes too. ;)

    My pleasure Marja. ;)
Play a bit with the selection tools too and apply filters, adjustments, ...
So many controls to achieve all kinds of different effects.

Here's my new creation and I think no explanation will be necessary.
    Just use your imagination.
Quite a simple one to make. :D

Can someone please reiterate exactly what our current 'theme' is. Is it space/opera??
Anyway....as you can see, I'm struggling a bit. :doubt:

Re: Paint Shop Pro & PhotoFiltre Talk

Hey I'm just a dumb Aussie OK!
So the theme is more of a sci-fi space thing? Nothing to do with actual 'Opera' as such?? You have to explain things slooooooooowly for the ol' buck!
