    BBB- Those are awesome eyes!

I have a question, has anyone tried using photofiltres for making icons? I cannot see a way to resize icons, or to make them except for in the default size of 32x32 pixels.

I'm not sure, but I think apple computers use only one size icon. Could it be that the photofiltre team are really avid Mac users?

I think you are probably right......in fact, I can't even open these 'exported' icons in any of my apps to resize them??

OOH, that last one is good, Buck! I like that green mysterious stuff you did! A filter?? The one in #794, I am still trying to figure out what all is in that pic! It looks a little different everytime!!

Uguel, I liked your drawing of ....you! LOL! How does one draw themselves? By memory or holding up a mirror and drawing at the same time??

I will try that drawing tool, not just yet, need a subject I think I can make recognizable, Hey Me!! Then BB can add it to her thread of pics! LOL! Yea, that's what I will do!

Glad you told us how to save it, Brad, are you and Soph feeling better??

Look in your mail soon, for that pic of Jimi too!

    Hi HandsOff! :)

    ....yes, I did.

Right, *the most usual way to create an icon in Photofiltre is by resizing a pic to 32x32. but let say you want transparent icon with no straight edges around it....you can open a transparent .gif in Photofiltre and export it as an icon. If you want it smaller, you can re-open it again in the program and you go to Image> Image Size and then you can change the dimensions of it.

But you must export it as an icon again. it will work but the image
will lost a bit of its quality after resizing it.

See screenshot...two icons I made from a .gif in PF.
One is 32x32 and the other was resized to 22x22.

    * you can also draw it in Photoshop but there is no eraser tool, only the
    undo feature. :doubt:

Re: Paint Shop Pro & PhotoFiltre Talk

    Hi everyone
I just now installed paint shop pro 8
I have looked it over some. I plan to learn the whole thing. I would like to know if I can add sparkles to pictures, and animated (moving) words with paint shop pro 8, or do I need animation shop?
Thanks for any help. I wanted to ask here instead of starting a new thread since you all know these things. LOL Thanks :)

Hi Sonya & welcome to this thread. ;)
Best to do is start reading from the beginning and work your way through.
Try different features and above all have fun. :D
If you need to know something, just ask here.
For the moving pictures you do need Animation Shop or another program which allows to make animated gifs. :)
    See you later. ;)

HI Sonya, I am not one of the ones that know all this stuff!LOL! But, most sparkles do need animation, there is a free download of Microsoft Gif animator, or go here for a 30 day free trial of Animation Shop...

Hope that helps for now!! Someone will come along who knows more, er... Snap!! :D

    Oh gosh, LOL
I forgot a while back I already used the Animation Shop free trial, so I can't use it anymore. The only one I own is the Photo Shop Pro 8, LOL
Is there an online one I can use besides gifworks?
I am adding an example attachment, that I am wondering how it is done. Not the picture, but the words. Is this done with Animation Shop? I am also wondering if gif works online can do this. I don't think it can, I have used gifworks alot.Thank you all so much for helping me :)

If you upgrade your PSP version, you'll receive Animation Shop for free. :)
Otherwise I still have Gif Animator which I downloaded (free).
If you want it, send me a PM with your email address. ;)

Received, responded and send to you by SendIt.
Gmail invite is also on his way. :D
First when you use a picture, you've to promote it to a background layer (Layers > Promote Background Layer).
Afterwards you can use the magic wand to select sections you don't want.
Just hold the shift key while using the Magic Wand. It should expand your selection.
Did you make a mistake, hold the Ctrl key and deselect your mistake. :)
When done, just press the delete key to erase your selection.

Have a look at this lesson for the Background Eraser.
You'll have to find the right settings for the Eraser, as well as the background eraser.
    Keep practising. ;)

It won't accept any I have tried so far. But it will eventually, LOL
    Thanks

Re: Paint Shop Pro & PhotoFiltre Talk

Eldar, or someone who can help. I downloaded the ulead full version. I am having trouble with the add banner text. When I make the text "roll" the text background is not transparent. I have "merge with background" checked.
When I try to choose a color, like transparent, that isn't an option anywhere, only colors are an option. I read on the help menu that some browsers wont support that option. Does anyone know what I am talking about?
    thanks :)

Ok I think I figured it out ! When I open a picture using the animation wizard is when it does what I said above.
But if I open a picture from file/open gif, it opens and works the way I want it to.
