Re: A 5-Minute Tutorial (Paint Shop Tread)

    2. Open Paint Shop Pro, Go to File> Open> and Browse
to your desktop and open "Frame7"

    3. A good habit to take..... Once you have it open in your program, go to your menu and go to "File" and select "Save As..." give a name to your picture and save it into your favourite folder. Make sure to save it many time while working on your pic. Just have to go to File and then you select "Save".So if Something wrong happen, you will be able to re-open it without losing too much work.

    4. Now you have your frame opened in PSP, we can add a tube in it.
But before we will open a transparent image that will have the same dimensions of the white background. That will be 197x148 for this image respectively.

5.Select the tube tool in your Tools Palette (just under the yellow pencil). Choose a tube and set the size in order to fit into the transparent frame.

    6. Paste it into the transparent frame.

    7. Copy your tube into your frame picture. Make sure that your tube is highlighted go to Edit> Copy

    8. Click on your gold frame picture in order to activate it.
...its title bar will become blue, that means it is selected.

    9. Then go to Edit again. And click on "Paste as a New Selection"

Re: A 5-Minute Tutorial (Paint Shop Tread)

    10. Once your tube is in the gold frame, click on it to see the* marching ants. Now add a drop shadow to your tube in order to add dimension. Go to Effects>3D Effects> Drop Shadow.
    I had these settings.....See screenshot

Once you are satisfy with the results you can save
    and close your picture.
    You're done! :)

*Each time you select something, you will see the "marching ants".
The "marching ants" means that you made a selection and only
the area contained in that selection will be modified unless you
decide to apply the change outside the selected area by
going to Selections> Invert..which is not the case in this tutorial
    here. ;)

Of course, you can add a gradient background instead
    of a strong colour. :)

This is the one I made from "Easy Country Frame"
Once you made the frame, you can add the tube you want in it.

    More good ones....

    mini tutorials

A gold mine, :D on the right side of the page (tubes, masques, tuiles)
there are many tube websites. A few of them doesn't work but
    most of them do...

    tubes&tutorials

    Cheers! :)

N.B. you might come across some websites that have only
PSP7 tubes. They will work if you rename them with a .tub extension
    instead of a .psp extension.

    Well done Brad. ;)
You're really into this animation. Wonderfull stuff, although I tend to keep it to PSP only for the moment.
Don't let that stop you to learn new techniques.

Uguel, thanks again for the advice, pictures and the tutorial links. ;)

As Marja is absent, due to being sick, Uguel asked me to choose the next theme.
I thought best to put up a little surprise for Marja, when she returns.
So the next theme for the coming two weeks is ... CATS. :D
On your marks, ready, go. ;)

    Nice quick one. ;)
Hope to see yours soon, but get well first. ;)
Hope you'll like it, because here's my second try. (the first went to the trash  )
Not used to this theme, so a lot to think of on how to make one.

Wow Eldar, it is very good, but I find that the more I look at it the
shier I get. The human eyes give a powerful effect, lol! :D

...the traditional one is good too! ;)
