Thanks, Eldar! That was a good lesson, I will be practicing it, can't seem to always find that perfect frame, this will help!

I was practicing mosaics, Uguel, and got some uh...interesting? LOL! results?
Not exactly what I expected! The butterflies were supposed to be reflected, but it was interesting, so I left them there and added the flowers. Maybe you can tell me what I did wrong? Also exactly what is the magic wand doing? Or supposed to do? Maybe I got carried away with the "magic wand", since I have always wanted one! :D

I will post it, not as Spring-y as all the others, want to make those frames like you and Buck have on your flower pictures. Experimenting!

Actually this was the very first mosaic I did. It doesn't seem to be even or something, I did it quite a few times and never got the same results twice??! PSP even quit working for me for a while, didn't like me making it repeat itself, I guess or all of the 'undo's'!! LOL!

This was the result of playing around with the effects, I got blinds and this kind of quilt moon seemed to fit, once again not Spring-y, but I found a tutorial called "Bursting Mosaic" - just have to find some flowers I like and try it.

Have a great week! Have lots of fun playin'! :D

OH! I just thought of a question, when you use the picture tubes, is there any way you can position them how you want? I tried all kinds of things, like I wanted the moon to be laying back more, and I couldn't do it? I used the mover and Boy! Was that a mistake, LOL! There must be a way, but I haven't found the instruction anywhere, unless you move the background first?

The picture in #682, Buck, that kind of frame is what I want to do, where the picture kind of spills over? That's so cool! I notice you and Uguel both have some pictures like that.

I don't consider any of those I just posted DONE! LOL! I keep seeing things I want to do and don't know how to! I STILL want to add sparkles to things, really kinda tired of frames, want to sparkle something else! :D

What you can do Marja is select a rectangle inside your picture, the 'invert' the selection which effectively selects the outside part (this will become your frame) and apply a filter or filters to this outside bit....

    Great picture Brad.
    You're welcome. ;)
It will surely help making the frames you like, as well as trying out several features like filters, effects, adjustments, tubes and so on ...

You're really getting very good at it. They're all well done, the last one is really great.
Well there's an easy way to achieve this.
First create a new picture and insert your tube. Afterwards choose Select All and choose again Float found under Selections. Now copy the tube and paste it as a new layer into your picture. From then on you can place it wherever you like. :)

When the tube is floated you can also apply several effects or add a shadow. You're free to experiment with it. :D

I was glad to see your new creations Marja! Yeah! :D

Ok, I can see that you have many tubes in your picture, post#696
that's why you have difficulty obtaining the real thing/effect ;)
The tutorial is easier to achieve when you have one tube only.
Just like you did in post# 697 in which you did the mosaic effect
    very well.

And I like a lot the one you sent in post #698. :)
Do you still have that tutorial addresso_O

...Oh BTW, can you also give the next theme for the next couple of weeks?

    the last ones I did....
I applied the mask (white borders) in Photofiltre.
Then I decided to add a butterfly animation in it.....
So I opened the pic in Jasc Animation Shop along with
a butterfly animation.Since the butterfly animation had 7 frames
I duplicated the static image 7 times in order to obtain the same
number of frames and then I selected all the butterfly frames
(Ctrl+A) and copied them in the biggest picture (Ctrl+E)

...have you seen that butterfly before? o_O :D

LOL! BRAD, IT LOOKS LIKE A GOOD BEE TO MEE! That's just what they do, it's great!?!? Why don't you think so?

OK! Uguel, I thought of one last night, now I can't remember!?! The one in #698 wasn't a tutuorial, I just kinda kept adding different things. Unless you mean the "Bursting Mosaic"? That I will have to look up, I took pics of it, but right off hand don't remember who's it is.

Thanks, the first mosaic was only supposed to be three butterflies, but they got mosaic-ed, some how??

I'll pm you the add for the questions, OK?
Good to hear from you! :D

Gee, I was thinking the one in #697 wasn't so good?? Because of the edges? I also forgot that the pictures from the tubes can be smaller or larger, I am going to do that one again and make the little girl bigger, she is overwhelmed with purple!!LOL!

    Not bad either! ;)
maybe just take a big flower if you want the bee
to come out more...Opposite colours would be good for a li'l image....
For instance, you might choose a blue or a purple flower.
    ...like pansies...lilacs... violettes...

Just resize it Marja with the Crop Tool and you
will get rid of any unwanted space around your subject.
After that you can add the frame you want. :)
    see screenshot....

    Nice Uguel!
BTW....I eventually got around to trying that butterfly tutorial. Now I didn't do it properly...or fully...and it doesn't look that good (butterfly jumps a bit)....but I think that I now have the general idea.
It took me about ten minutes....so now I might go back and do it properly when I have more time.

It is very good Brad and I know it is not an easy one to start with
Okay, I downloaded it and opened it in Jasc Animation Shop to see how
many frames you had in it. Actually you have 5 frames in it but
only 2 of the butterflies have different sizes whereas we should
    have 4 different sizes....see screenshot
