Re: Paint Shop Pro & PhotoFiltre Talk

In my case I installed it in a folder that I named 8.bf in My Pictures.
because I had to do it that way in order to share all my plugins, filters
and .8bf associations files with other programs. So all my filters and plugins
are in a file in "my Picture" folder.

Some people say that it is better to do it that way for it won't
load too much the program. I don't know but it works well for me.

Since you already installed all your filters in your Paint Shop
program you might install this one there too. If for any reason it does not
work, put it in a different folder in e.g. "My Pictures" and once in Paint Shop 9,
go to File>Preferences> Files Locations and have your program look into
it. See Files Location Preferences screenshot.

    and...
once in Paint shop Pro,the plugin's name appeared as "Auto FX Software"> DS Bonus" in the filter menu.

Bigbuck you created beautiful pictures. Some of them can make great desktops you know. I saved pic#653, #655, #657, and #569. :)
Is the bird in pic 656 a tube? I'd like to get one like it.

    My most recent ones....

ZOUNDS!! Don't know what to say, I hope everyone on this forum gets to see these beautiful Spring pictures!!

Uguel, That is a great idea to save them for desktops! Brad, they are much better than alot of desktops I have and have seen! Really inspiring!!

I also read to save alot of your plug ins, filters, tubes, frames etc. to another folder, so I did! Still can't get some of them to PSP when I want to use them, I will keep messing with the settings, with help from a friend though!:)

Oh Uguel! That is soo neat! Letters with Spring Flowers in them!! How romantic!:)

I love the last picture too! It's very striking!!

You both deserve a Spring break! LOL! Very cheery around here!!

    Have a wonderful week!

Thanks Uguel! I really like yours too! The bird was not a tube, just a picture of a Finch I think?

Indeed, maybe better to upload the original to ImageShack. :)
I've divided them into several folders inside the plugin directory, but it's my preference to do so. And so is yours Uguel. :D
I've never experienced any slowdowns when loading, although it takes some time to load everything, but that's normal.

    Found some other plugins too:
    • Vizros: be sure to write down the registration code at that page
    • Redfield: attention not every plugin is free
I don't know if these were posted before, so in case it was, I apologize.
    Really lovely pictures.
Thanks again for the tutorial. Haven't had time yet to dive into animation, but it will surely come in handy. It sure looks smashing. ;)
I'm sure a lot of forum members are seeing these beautiful pictures, not only the Spring pictures.
He sure does have the talent to make marvellous desktop themes. Keep making them Brad.
You all have a great week. ;)

Oh, I forgot to mention in post #673 that the text was done
by following a tutorial at this address...

    Picture filled text

It is a simple tutorial and it is not long to do at all! :)

Another one I did with the same yellow rose...I like the one with the purple background more.... :) Remember, the tutorial was from Karens' Creation.
I took the tube of the rose there. ;)

Re: Paint Shop Pro & PhotoFiltre Talk

Hey, thanks Eldar for the filters links.
I will check them out soon!!! :)

A very simple one made with a tube
I intent to use it as a card.

There are 3 layers in the picture, the first one consist of
the gradient background, the second a blurred shadow of the birds,
and on the third, I simply applied the birds the way they were.

I opened a transparent picture, put a tube of the hummingbirds in it
then I blurred the picture a lot and added a little texture in it
    so as to imitate speed.

Then on the third layer, I just apply the tube of the humminbirds
a second time without altering it. I merged all layers and saved it
as a .jpg. This is it!

No, my French is still good but I have a problem with my keyboard.
Dan installed my French accents in order for me to be able to type
them on the keyboard when I write in French but a problem happened
and now I cannot type them anymore! :)

Re: Paint Shop Pro & PhotoFiltre Talk

And you'll get there too Marja. Here's already a simple lesson to make your own frames.
I've posted this already in the test forum, but since that will be cleaned up after some time it will be lost. :doubt:

Have fun & a great weekend to all. ;)
