Does that look unbalanced to you, guys? I was wondering if since I blurred the cat anyway, if I should have like 'mirrored' on the other side? Not sure!

Took it a little further with paint strokes and just playing around, not the best. I'm still trying to figure out that plug-in folder and how to make it work!

This is the same cat photo! You really CAN do a bunch of stuff with this prog!! It's totally cool!

Kinda Blah in that frame, though. Needs something....

I actually like the painting just not what I put it in! I need to study how the size settings work and all that I know, just haven't been able to concentrate on the reading part or any reading lately!

    Any helpful ideas or critiques?

What would you have done with this very last one?? Buck?
I will see if I still have the original, was getting very confused with all these cats! LOL!

OK! Something else I thought of, what do you do to keep it all organized, I have pics all over, I think I know where it's going, but, then I want to change something and it ends up NOT in the folder I thought I put it in! Whew!

Also, should you save after EVERY change or... I lost a couple of originals until I saw that save copy as.....Finally!! :D

Hey Spanner, have a look here http://com-puterworks.com/Free_Downloads.htm . It's got PSP 7 and Animation Shop as a 32Mb download free. It's an earlier version (I've got 9)but would still be quite acceptable. See how you go. HTH.
    Cheers,
    Brad.

I think V 7 should be alright.....I was playing with V 5 before V 9 fell in my lap. I think Uguel was using PSP 7 until only recently...

Hey, I'm pretty sure I used PSP with Windows 95, so I dont think you will have a problem SW.

i redid the pumpkin dog with dreamy photo. Nothing spectacular, but I still like the plugin.

BTW - The original is way back on pg. 10, frame # 227. for comparison.

I thought it would be nice to have an earth element, already had water so why not fire. :)
Great final result. Thanks again for the instructions.
Sometimes it happens to me too. Impossible to find how I did achieve that effect, so don't feel too bad about it. :D

Not too many borders Marja. I like it very much.
Glad you're having fun, that's the most important part. The rest will follow. You're in good hands. :D

Really nice, although you don't remember how you did it. :D
Even without help, you already can make beautiful pictures.
When pasting another layer you can always move it to the correct position by using the crossed arrows sign.

The rest of your pictures is great. You certainly got a nice feeling for colors. ;)

    :D :D :D
Kind of modern style. ;)
Where did the cat go too? Oh, you could always use Effects -> Reflection Effects -> Rotating Mirror.
Just download the plugin and unzip it to the Paint Shop Pro 9 Plugins folder. You'll see it afterwards under Effects. Sometimes a restart is necessary.
You're just scraping the surface of what you can do with it. Really amazing once you get the hang of it. :)
Let your imagination free, you're just playing.
You can always use Shift+F1, so the the pointer changes to a question mark. When clicking on a tool or menu/toolbar, it gives you an explanation.:)
Make a folder of your project and put every picture inside this folder. When saving be sure to save it into the correct location.
You should save as often as possible when making a change, but save it as a PSP format so you can eventually go back in your steps. It's also as a precaution for losing your work. PSP needs enough memory to make all those changes to pictures and sometimes it can happen that PSP doesn't respond = frozen, so you'll have to kill the process and restart. :(

    Hi Spanner,
Welcome to the wonderful world of graphics. The more, the merrier. ;)
Nice blur effect. :) Is it a plugin? In PSP it's Adjust -> Blur and choose the one you like.
Not fair, I'm really running behind on my own suggestion. :'(
You really got it Brad. Can't show my work yet, until it's finished. ;)
Nice to get carried away like that. :D Fine job there.

I hope to be posting my design today, otherwise it will be during the weekend. Just too busy testing 4 betas + work & family.

Finally done.:p I love fantasy, so misteriously ended that way.:D
Started from a completely blue sky. Promoted it to a background layer and added a red layer. Also selected blend mode to Multiply. The moon is a picture tube. The woman's face in the moon is a blended picture. Also used the flood plugin twice.
So that gives us a combination of water & fire.
    Got carried away! :D

Eldar! Thanks for the feedback!! And all the advice!!

Yes, I can see hours of entertainment, joy and frustration with this program! LOL!

Hey BigBuck! You have come a long way, I remember when.... so do like Eldar told me, just play and feel free, we will get it!! :D

BB, I like your pics, never thought of pink fire, but why not? She might have a fiery personality, right! Your fave subject!!;)

HandOff - I like that dreamy effect will have to try it! Where or how to get that lightening effect? I liked your village, attacked by the Lightening Gods, was it?

Eldar, Your picture says so much! Like, beauty is never extinguished - only transformed.

    Very mysterious and lovely!!

Well, off to more play!! :D

Hope you all had a great St. Patrick's Day - Irish or not!!

Re: Paint Shop Pro & PhotoFiltre Talk

For most of the frames it won't work properly
it would work good only with the ones that have only one
colour in them and no blur or shadow effects in it.

    See examples below

It is better that you get new frames designed for
PSP8 and PSP 9 (they both are compatible) You can
google for them and get some of them for free. I have
a few addresses but I must sort them out before sending them! ;)

For instance I could changed the colour of your frame
by going to the Tools Palett selected the Magic Wand
set the tolerance to 25 and I clicked in the white part
of the pic and then I took the fill tool in the tools Palett
    filled it with green ....

see the results. Not too good... :doubt:
It can be corrected but the results won't be as good as in
the original frame that you had.
