    I actually disagree with HTML5 increasingly taking over Javascript. I've just yet to see much of HTML5 at all across the web. I do agree that websites are becoming much too heavy, and, sadly, it seems to have to do less with actual interactivity and more about serving up third party advertising and other annoyances.
