We want to be able to have an install package to give to our employees who aren't connected to our network. We want it to be locked down so they can't get into the settings, and we obviously want to protect the username/password for updating - which locking the settings would do. Is there a way for us to make a package to give to them so they can just install it without changing settings?

    Hello,

First install the Lan Update Server version of NOD32 to your machine. It contains the NOD32 Configuration Editor.

Now download to your desktop, the version of NOD32 that you will be installing on the other machines.

Once downloaded, right click on it and extract the contents to a folder on the desktop instead of the default location of C:\Program Files\ESET. For now, please name the folder, NOD32 Install.

In that folder you will have to add an xml file that contains all of the parameters you want included in NOD32. This can be created from the configuration editor included in the LAN Update Server.

The finished xml file should be named, nod32.xml

Now go into NOD32 Install and create a new text document. Type this onto it,

    "setup.exe /forceold /showrestart /reboot /silentmode /instmfc /cfg=nod32.xml" without the quotes.

Rename that text document to setup.bat.

Put this entire folder on a CD or flash drive, and anytime you want to install NOD32 with those exact parameters, insert the cd or flash drive and dbl click that batch file. NOD32 will immediately be installed.

    BFG
