P2P Networks Program Question

Hi, After Using limewire for an age now and assumin this accessing everying P2P wise. I was suprised to see that it only accesses the Gnutilla Network. And there are numerous networks with files on for each.

I was therefore wondering if anyone has any links to web pages which explian which networks each P2P program accesses. Or is there are any P2P programs which access them all. (And are Spyware free).
