hi to all
what you guys think about OP new Release on July 1, 2008
Version: 2009 (6.5.2355.316.0597)
Some screenshots would be nice, on Agnitum site screens are outdated...
screen shots of outpost
Looking forward to test it.
Have been running the 2008 version for a week and I really like it. Light, non intrusive & a really feel safe with it (running NAB too )
Is OP FWL compatible w/Avira Pro?
During install OP a window shows a message: ... Avira is NOT compatible w/ OP Fwl.
I consider 2009 vastly improved over the 2008 version.
Anyone knows where I can download?
EDIT: Despite saying Outpost 2008 in downloads it is 2009!
EDIT 2: This is the best version of Outpost ever!

So far running smooth and no problems with KAV 2009, MBAM and Ghost Security. Like the new GUI.
Giving it a try myself.
The last version did not run well here,
but OP 2009 seams to be running fine.
So far so good.
Here's a few.................
I would like to know if it's compatible with KAV 2009.
So far it is running okay on my machine with KAV 188.8.131.527, MBAM and Ghost Security (AppDefend and RegDefend).
I´m trialing it now together with NOD32 and I must say I like it...very light indeed...
much better faster and smoother than 2008
1.Blockpost is inbult which is very good
2.Host proction is also good it feels little bit like comodo
3.interface is best ....they improve log interface as well
4. new exe protection
5. no antispyware cache which is very good again
6. fast ...reliable.....feels good till now
7. very stable on vista and xp i am running it on both no crashes till now......
at last .....it make me feel like old days of outpost are coming back .......
Finally a version that runs good on my pc,no freezes,no bsods, nice new features. It's still early to say but it looks like outpost has done good with this.
Is the AV engine gone?
I believe the Security Suite contains the AV engine amongst other things. Is that what you meant? Or did the firewall used to contain AV too?
The firewall by itself contained only the anti-spyware module which evolved from their former stand alone anti-trojan product Tauscan.
So is the AV still virusbuster?
Runs great with Avira premium ,recognised it on install and action was taken to make it compatable.I normally run a free firewall but will buy this.
Just make sure you choose US dollars and not euros as payment, because they charge the same amount (39.95) for it. They haven't noticed that 39.59 euros, don't correspond to 39.95 US dollars.
I've been waiting for this for ages. I had ditched Outpost 2008 due to the bugs and was temporarily using PC Tools Firewall, but im back with Outpost now. This build is exactly what the 2008 version should have been. And the new host intusion prevention features they've added may also persuade me to ditch EqSecure and simply keep Avira Premium, Outpost and SandboxIE as my securty arsenal.
Many thanks Wolf , Ok I downloaded an installed on VMware, there is one more thing to say: ICMP per application is also here...
It's a combination of VB signatures and Agnitum's modified engine which includes anti-spyware that was originally Tauscan.
This description is for their stand alone AV product but it's the same as in the suite. The firewall product only has anti-spyware, no AV.
