    Sounds good Stem.

I keep getting popups for svchost for TCP...should I specifically block svchost from all TCP connections?

Also, I know you had mentioned earlier about certain settings with ie (ie shouldn't be able to make certain connections). Well, I went to yahoo and watched a video and I got a popup asking me to create a rule with ie. I accepted the rule. It's recorded in the firewall log above.

It depends on what they are. If they are inbound then Block. If they are outbound then post a screen shot.

I thought you had changed the settings to block most?

Oh yeah, I had to switch it back to rules wizard because Comodo system cleaner couldn't check for updates. I forgot to run this with the rules wizard so it got blocked. I just changed it to block most so all is ok.

IE does like a lot of rules. just make sure when allowing that they are for outbound and that such activity is expected.

If any problem or questions, then just post, I am not usually far away.

    Block it.

Then, as you did to block remote port 5355 in this post, add a rule to block that remote port UDP 3702, and one to block the inbound to local port 3702

This actually shows the perpetual annoyance of Vista/MS

Add a global rule to block UDP inbound to that port. (as we did for the outbound)

Looks and sounds like you are now set up quite well.

Just take care if you do get any popups for rules.

No, I have not seen an 'export/import configuration' option.
Saving one's config -and later restoring it if so desired- will have to be done manually ...

    Hello Stem,
I made all the Outpost changes that you suggested to Toby.

Whenever I boot up into Windows 7, it now takes a while for the computer to make a network connection. I am also running AVG free version.

This only happens when I am booting up- Any idea what's going on?

    Hello Mr.Y,

I dont have windows7 so cannot test.

It may be a problems with bootDHCP, if the PC cannot obtain an IP there will be a delay. Check svchost to see if there are rules to allow bootDHCP.
