Out of sync flash video playing

Hi,

It seems that ESET is causing flash videos to play out of sync with the sound. Disabling HTTP in the Web Acccess Protection doesn't do anything to change it.

For instance, I have the problem playing this video or most other online vidoes:

I've updated to the latest updates.

Any suggestions on what to do? This didn't happen before I installed ESET Smart Security.

if you disable AV does the issue persist?

 

Does any of the following (followed by a computer restart) resolve the issue?
- switching firewall integration to "Only scan applicaiton protocols"
- switching firewall integration to "Personal firewall is completely disabled"
- disabling HIPS
- disabling Automatic real-time protection start

 

I tried all the suggestions above, and none of these solved the problem.

Now what?

FYI I also got this problem, but I don' think that it's connected to ESET at all.

For me the out of sync, and videos continue playing after that I have clicked the "pause" button actually started after the latest Adobe Flash Player update.

So your/our best option would be to wait for the next Flash player update to see if the out of sync issues are fixed. If they're not then I'll send a report to Adobe.

 

I wonder if uninstalling ESS makes a difference then.
