oss_reinstall.exe ???

    I notice that since installing Disk Director v.10 that a program, oss_reinstall.exe, loads with each boot.

    What does this do? Does it have to be started with each boot?

    Hello Russel,

    Thank you for choosing Acronis Partition and Disk Managing Software.

    This program needs to run on each boot, becaused it activates Acronis OS Selector during the booting process. Please be aware that if you delete this program from the startup then Acronis OS Selector will be not able to boot.

    If I am only running one OS, Windows XP, do I need to have this file run at startup?

    Thank you for your interest in Acronis Partition and Disk Managing Software.

    In case you wish to use Acronis OS Selector then this file should stay at startup. Please be aware that Acronis OS Selector will not work without this file properly.
