i read on http://tds.diamondcs.com.au/html/threats.htm :

"Optix Lite is an exceedingly dangerous trojan in heavy use at this time. Optix Lite is an uploader, or mini trojan with the capability to terminate known security software. It will shut down all well known security programs by scanning for the name of the running programs. It will also continually scan for the presence of these programs and terminate them if they have been restarted".

please excuse my ignorance here as a newb but would it terminate TDS?

Hi hardy,

If you have TDS running and updated with the current database it should catch this threat to your system and not be disabled. Here is a fairly recent posting (on another forum) by one of the DCS Moderators regarding optix lite:
