    Is the AV engine in OPSS free in the same class as Avira AV free.

    Wondered that too. Should be OSS. I believe it uses the Virusbuster engine combined with some inhouse customizations. Avira class? No. But it's not the worst thing I have ever tested. I find the suite to be ok from a security standpoint. Stability has always been my biggest problem with it.
