Very true. The performance is excellent, standards support is great, and has a lot of useful features (without being bloated).

There are still some problems, however, with displaying some websites.

Yes, thats why I can't use it even though I love it. :(

Don't forget speed and security with ease of use.........one of Opera's hallmark since its inception. The websites that don't display use loose HTML and therein lies the crux of the problem.

Right on the target. :p Blame Microsoft for not supporting web standards properly, thus causing developers to write badly implemented code.

Thats why you have IE, handles all with ease, its friendly with loose pages, malware, hacks, remote controls etc. Just an open door policy makes it so universal.:D

Maybe IE8 will be more secure? o_O

Biggest problem with MS is that they take their merry time releasing patches and updates. The slow pace of IE means too late and way less feedback or public interest unlike the other two browsers namely FF and Opera.

    change log

btw i found it odd why it didnt show the update option. turns out it was because i was using a limited user account.
so i temporary changed my account to admin rights installed as upgrade and changed account back to limited.

The thread was about Opera's latest and the accolades that followed may have been a slight deviation from the thread but not by much.
