Just hang fire 'till Monday - we did pop up a quick release but I wasn't told it had gone to the "Live" download site...

    Hi Easter,

Thanks for the kind words. I'm quite happy with the response so far to OA Free - things are only going to get better from here :)

I have problems with utorrent, torrent client wont work, or work as a dead and my connection taskbar icon blink non stop. I tried trial, and both free versions, and I just got no luck with Online Armor, can't get it work, especially with torrents.

Opera problem is fixed now, but there are still little delay when opening links or page, but little, not long as before, which I welcomed.

    Another question please.
When using OnLine Armor I noticed that no speed tests are working right.
They all show less then half of what I should be getting.
Is their a setting that affects this?
I know this is not as important as some other issues but I just like for things to be right there.:)
    No problems otherwise!
    Thanks,Dan

The new version of online armor is working great on one computer. I downloaded it on another compute. It runs the wizard and I can allow all the startup menu, It will reboot and the wizard will come up for me to allow the start menu again. It seems to be in an endless circle. From what I have seen from the new version I really like it.

Hm, if you would be prepared to install a logging version so we could work this out (and let me know what other security software you have running, if any?)... if so, please whizz over to our forums and setup an account so I can give you one on one support.

No problems with Opera here as far as slow is concerned. Or anything else for that matter.

This also happens to me when my computer crashes. Also i found a bug. The UBCD4WIN builder accesses windows files to create a bootable disc, and this causes oa to kill the power. With oa off it works properly. Is this to do with system protection?

New version 2.1.0.18 Free will not allow me to import my rules. It won't even try to start to import. When i click import or export it doesn't do anything!

Becho. Even though you can clearly see Export and Import Rules by right clicking within the Firewall Rules area. I was told the free version doesn't have this feature. Not a deal breaker for me considering this fine program is free, and I think it truly adds to the value of purchasing the full version.

Previous free versions did let you import and export, not a deal breaker of course. My previous version was 2.1.0.16. I really love this firewall compared to the highly forgetful Comodo!!

Yes I agree Becho. I was actually tempted to try the new free Webroot Spysweeper Desktop Firewall mentioned in this forum, but I like OA free way to much to uninstall it. LOL.

Mike, If one downloads the trial version, will it turn into the free version automatically with no user end problems after the 30 days (I think thats the trial period) ?

The HIPS feature is OA is pretty formidable.

In tandem with EQSecure it's first to stage an interruption on something and then i have to multi-click EQ 3 times or more where before was just once, but that's to be expected with this test. No sense running both, i just observed how they would interact and which one would take the lead.

I assume in OA (free) theres no way to change rules once you either deny or allow an action, and thats purposely designed as a preview that the FULL version opens up that feature as well as many others.

Solid Hips, reliable firewall. My shutdown i notice is now delayed somewhat then before but thats not of any concern.

    Great effort, good program. :thumb:

Yeah I think the free version is just right. It doesn't offer too much or too little. Obviously those who want to be able to edit rules would purchase a license, atleast for the other great features. This is really nice...Its what you get for the people in your house that won't be bothered with security. *puppy* :D

Am I overlooking it or does OA Free have a log or any alert when it blocks an incoming attempt to access my computer?

Easter. Since OA Free is such a good security program, do think there is much of a need to to run either ThreatFire or a-squared Anti-Malware along with it?
