    @Peter
you missunderstood something - i was never on the way to uninstall anything.
but i never really noticed that button - i am not really sure if it ever was
present there :D so my thoughts were always on "disabling".

so OA leaves behind only with hips and mail/web-filtering and in case of
oa++ also the av-engine. but uninstalling the firewall part it makes for me
the whole suite a bit obsolete.
    - two solid pillars for oa++: firewall and antivirus
    - some hicing with hips and filters.

i can work with only a firewall and av, but av and only hips - hmm.
relating to firzens useless comment(s) - its not forbidden to check out
other software and build different opinions - to share.
and obselete is a different thing than sucking.

if people are happy with that configuration, ok - their point of view.
i would do it the other way round.

nevertheless i use eset av for so many years and i try to get the best
fitting additional security software around it. at first a firewall, a good firewall
and oa is a good firewall. and its hips is fine - cant compare with malware
defender but that was never indented. if you would ask me which suite i
would prefer from all present - oa would be the first choice - due my
experience with other. simple and have the most important features.

unfortunately after a year now its time to change again - for my needs.

There is either a language problem or logic problem here. Just because that button is there doesn't mean a user should automatically do that.

Online Armor has the firewall uninstall button, and also has the ability to disable hips. Most users would never do either, but on occasion a user might want to do one or the either for trouble shooting purposes. Disabling either the firewall or hips features, leaves them disabled, but all the hooks and drivers in place. The uninstall and disable features, all those particular hooks and drivers to be removed. Much better for troubleshooting.

I just don't see anything at all obsolete.
