    This is a common accurance with W7. I have OA on 5 machines right now, and I had to change W7 settings on a few of them for the icon to show in the tray. Its really easy to do.

    Outpost Pro also Protects as well or even better on x64. No popups at all once it is configured.

    Outpost doesn't protect better on x64. Try PC flank or any leaktest. Outpost doesn't even notice that it is there, sending code through IE. And yes, you don't get any popups with outpost on x64 because of the fact that the HIPS doesn't recognize leaks.

    And this I didn't read somewhere, I tested it myself and got confirmation from Agnitum support that because of Microsoft Patchguard they aren't able to provide x64 protection the way they want.

    Passes the leaktest from spyshelter. Even passes the screen capture that OA fails. I guess it all depends on what you think keeps you safe. I like OA. It just seems slower on my machine.

    Pls forgive me for my tone, didn't want to sound angry. Everybody should use the program he/she likes. ;-)
    I like Outpost Pro, too, but I consider taking screenshots a lesser risk than key logging.

    All the keylogger tests I have done with Outpost Beta it has stopped. Cannot get to PC Flank to try because the website is down. If you find one it does not pass let me know. I do not want a firewall that fails to catch keyloggers.

    this release completely broke my OS !! beware guys o_O

    I have dual boot XP Pro SP3 and Win7 Pro. OA gave me freeze & hang on startup in my XP while it also broke my connection in Win7. Now I don't have network / no internet access in Win7.

    fortunately, I can do restore / rollback to previous state in both OS.

    @abu shofwan:
    Are you able to reproduce the problem? We'd like to investigate in that issue if you're so kind to help us. :)

    Folks, this thread is about Online Armor 5. If you like Outpost better, fine of course, but posts about it don't belong in this thread.

    Please stay on topic.

    OA5 runs fine here on win7/32. i needed to enter the advanced mode to catch
    icmp settings but that works also nice. dual boot - yes i have but xp is dropped dead here, i dont use it really since win7 won my heart.

    @abu shofwan
    you need to write more about your connection, dial-up or lan, wifi?
    other firewalls or security programs?

    here also avast 6 and winpatrol (ok winpatrol for testing purpose i dont need it
    really cause i have otherwise malware defender running/off for oa)

    xp and win7 should not interfere with dualboot although oa scan system files.

    oa only installed in xp and yes surely it should didn't interfere win7 ! But it did.on xp,i did sys rstore via safe mode to uninstall oa but since then i lost my connection in win7.there's yellow acclamation in sys tray that said'no internet access'. We talked about lan connection.
    o_O Other security see my sig. I installed new OA for testing purpose so I uninstalled PF first. In win7,i am using PCAV as AV and zemana.

    Agreed!
    5.0.0.1097 is running very nicely alongside Sandboxie and VIPRE Antivirus Standard. The Web Shield used to make browsing sluggish for me, but that doesn't seem to be the case now. :thumb:

    @abu
    i am pretty sure that OA is not causing that problem - more your collection
    of (unneeded) security software.
    2 resident scanners often collide (Avira <> MBAM <> SAS).
    and zemana vs winpatrol - both are hips lite.
    and ofc OA has its own hips so zemana/winpatrol are not needed
    (oa and winpatrol do not collide here)
    maybe some of your av is blocking OA files!?
    did you write to emsisoft support? from my point i cant give further help
    without more system informations like hijackthis but i am NO OA-Supporter!

    for the first you can test your system with lsp-fix if you have something blocked
    at the winsock stack ► http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm

    I'm still having same issues I had on previous version with IE (9 now) when I go to my home page (msn) and click on any link it goes to the page and freezes when loading.
    I can turn everything off and this still happens but close out the OA program and all is fine. I can surf with FF and all is fine...anyone else? any ideas?..oh I'm running W7 64 bit

    That only seems to work for one item at a time, and commas for multiple entries.
    I'm trying to add a .txt file, and the entries inside are separated by new lines, not commas.
