One reason for 'processing please wait' hanging

    I needed to do a recovery with TI8 from my external USB drive, but was just getting 'processing please wait', and nothing happening. I finally figured out that it was because my PC was connected to a network, and so presumably the software was looking for network drives, which it wasn't going to find. When I booted up having removed the network wire from the PC, there was not waiting, and my external drive was identified.

    A more useful message would have helped - in this case something like 'checking network drives' would have given me a clue. Maybe TI9 handles this better?
