old pc harddrive to new hardrive w/ Vista 64 OS

    Is it possible to migrate specific applications from the old hard drive w/XP Pro to a new pc with Vista 64. I want to use the new pc's os but would like to migrate applications from the old pc by installing it's hard disk to the new pc D drive. Hope that makes sense. lol

    Not likely since Vista and XP are so different. Much better to reinstal the applications.
