Thanks TH :) and yes I've found WSA to be fine with W8 RP, and seemed to be with Consumer Preview also, but......I seem to be seeing a bit of an issue with that version of IE10 (10.0.8400.0), 32 bit OS. WSA as standalone.

I have email a/c with my ISP, and prefer to go to their site and log-in to use emails, rather than install POP 3 client on my machine. In my way of thinking I believe it's safer, but could be wrong.

I'm losing the lock on tray icon, after being re-directed to where they have email accounts, despite having it on protected websites etc.
I looked at this a couple of days back, and re-added IE manually to the protected list, and it seemed to work for a while, but then reverted to icon disappearing scenario.

Any ideas/advice please? Am I still safe even without seeing lock on icon, as I believe I am, but would be nice to see it working correctly all the time.
    Many thanks :)

p.s. forgot to mention that I can't use other browser (Pale Moon) for this. Think I've got too much ( as if! :D ) security on it the way I have it.

edit: added words "lock on" as correction.

Could you try raising the settings for HTTP websites as well to ensure you remain protected? That shouldn't have any negative side effects and will solidify constant security.

    Hope that helps! :)

Thanks Joe :) I have it set at max for HTTP as well anyway (from copying TH :D ) so that's why I feel safe anyway. I'll keep investigating/monitoring, and let you know if I find any solution. I'm running HitmanPro Alert beta, and might uninstall it to see if that might be causing issue, perhaps.
    Thanks again :)

Uninstalled HMP.Alert beta, but the issue still persisted. However, so far in using build .210 (Closed beta atm) the issue seems to have disappeared, but will continue to check it. The issue, albeit relatively minor, seemed to occur in navigation within email a/c... i.e. Inbox to Sent Items and back and forth etc.
Looking good so far, thanks :)

Oops...spoke too soon. After spending long time in this a/c earlier, saw lock had gone again  But not worried, ultimately, if I know I'm ok with HTTP in Identity Shield set at maximum :thumb: Still would be nice to identify the cause sometime hopefully.

I'll take a closer look here to see if we can improve the lock state in IE10 - thanks! :)
