I've been trying to find a way and see if it would be possible to apply tabs to Office 2010.

I've come across this application Office Tab. -http://www.extendoffice.com/product/office-tab.html

The free version only adds tabs to Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

    VirusTotal reports everything clean.

Has anyone every gave it a try? There are other, apparently, great tools in that website.

There is no "free" version, only a 30 day trial. The basic version for Word, Excel and Powerpoint is $25. The enterprise version adds Publisher, Access, Project and Visio for $35.
It does seem like a nice program, I'm going to give it a try. :D

This is another website for the same application.

I believe this is the same version in the link I previously mentioned.

If you choose to download "Office Tab", you should get the same version that you'd get from -http://www.office-tabs.com

    No problem. :thumb:

I'm surprised that Microsoft never implemented this functionality natively in Office... and also Explorer. This is a most needed functionality, IMO.

For Explorer we have QTTabBar, but it would be nice to have it natively, because we'd have it in our own language.

I've seen that Microsoft is going to add Ribbon to Explorer in Windows 8, but I haven't seen anything like tabs being mentioned? It would be far more welcome to have tabs than the Ribbon. Just me saying. Not to mention we wouldn't be introducing alien code to Windows. o_O

Using it since some months ago. It works without annoyances until now. Free version.

    Working over Office 2003 (I don't like ribbon's...).

Hoping you like it and it may be useful to you m00nbl00d.

I find it quite suprising that no other alternative exists. I mean, Office tab functionality is simply great. I'd expect there would be more similar tools out there, but so far found none.
