    I recall the older versions had a longer support frame, no? I've got some 2013/2016 licenses somewhere, might need to activate them soon - and then keep them for a looong time.

    I don't think so. Too much companies rely on Microsoft Office and software that interacts with MS Office.

    there's no difference between office as subcription service (office 365) and office as one-time purchase (2019) in terms of interaction with third party sw.
