    - I have selected this "Minimized to tray" option since the latest version has been released. Indeed the 13 bugs mentioned in the "release notes" haven't showed up again. It took me a while but now I am indeed convinced that these bug(s) have been properly fixed.

    - New OEC version (v5.0) available.

    New features:
    - Theme support with light/dark mode, including automatic light/dark mode selection matching the Windows system setting.
    - Improved multi language support.

    - The webpage with the release notes (as mentioned in previous posts) has been removed. Instead one should visit https://www.oeclassic.com/news.
    - The developers want to make Outlook Express Classic available in more languages. People who want to help translating the program into their own language then those people can contact the developers for more instructions. I also know that a number of translations are not yet complete. ( https://www.oeclassic.com/help ).

    I have been using OE Classic for 2 years, I changed my password yesterday, the password works OK when I log in via e-mail via the website. but after entering it in OEC I still get an error message about the password. I've tried many different things with the SMTP, IMAP, POP settings and I still get errors. I have another email from the same email provider and everything in OEC works as it should

    It seems that the problem is with that one account. If you use IMAP for that account then you can try to remove the accoutn and create that account again. The program has a "Help" function. With that you can ask for help for this problem.

    I deleted and added the account many times, set POP and IMAP, set it manually and set it to auto, still the info:
    [WARNING] - A warning occurred. Account: ~ Server Domain Removed ~, Protocol: "POP", Task: POP get all messages, Server: ~ Server Domain Removed ~, Port: 995, TLS: Yes (1.2), Error message: "Authentication failed. You may have entered incorrect username and password. Open Account Properties and make a correction. Server error: Login (failed). C: USER ~Address removed~ R: +OK Tell me your password.; C: PASS ***; R: -ERR Authentication failed." For more details look in "Log" tab - error messages are marked in red color.

    It seems that you must select one of the "authentication" options in the program.

    As said before, OEC has a help function with which you can ask the developer for help with your problem.

    New version of OEC available (v5.0.1):

    New feature:
    - Added a "None" theme option (default value), allowing to revert to the original unthemed appearance
    - Added "Copy to Folder", "Move to Folder", and "Forward as Attachment" menu options to the Message Viewer window

    Bug fixes:
    - Removed the "Windows 10" theme due to unexpected behavior
    - Right-clicking "Save Image As" in the Preview Pane and Message Viewer no longer triggers the "Downloads" window (Edge Chromium engine only)

    If the user has selected a ("dark") Windows 10 theme and then switches back to "None" then not all changes in the GUI will be undone. The user has to restart OEC to get the entire GUI back to the original theme / GUI.
    My personal opinion is that this can be easily fixed. But fixing this one problem could not be (very) high on the list of priorities of the developers.

    I did long ago subscribed to this thread, with email notification. It worked until now. But not this time. That is suddenly a problem with the board sofware.
