Backed up and restored an entire partition using version 9, build 2302. There is something incorrectly set or not set by TrueImage on the restore since it is not possible to go to a DOS prompt under Windows 2000 and use a system utility like "fc.exe" - file compare - to compare files.

FC can not find the file(s) until they are either copied to another name or location OR until the drive itself is viewed under administrator/computer management/disk management. Doing either of this will set the attribute or NTFS table on the drive correctly so that then it's possible for fc to find the files.

Though this seems minor, it's rather alarming in that other issues may arise since the partitition is not being restored to exactly the same state that it was backed up from.

    Tatyana,

Thank you for responding. I've been unable to reproduce this since I reported it, so possibly it's an error or misinterpretation on my part.

    Mike
