    I have a dual boot:
    20GB NTFS partition for WIn2k
20GB EXT3 partition for UBUNTU LINUX

I would like to somehow convert NTFS parition into FAT32.
How would I go about that?

ps. I've created an image of the Win2k partition

if you re-image from the image taken you will probably find the partion changes back to NTFS

Win2k has a command line convert tool, it might work in reverse but not sure

To convert a volume to NTFS from the command prompt
    Open the Command Prompt window.
In the command prompt window, type
    convert drive_letter: /fs:ntfs

For example, typing convert D: /fs:ntfs would format drive D: with the ntfs format.

    Notes

To open a command prompt, click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, and then click Command Prompt.
You can convert FAT or FAT32 volumes to NTFS with this command.

I don`t think you can go from NTFS to FAT just FAT to NTFS.

Little on topic but the latest Australian magizine "PC User" has a free full version of Paragon Partition Manager 2005 on it's cover CD.
This programme will convert FAT32 to NTFS and back to FAT32 if required.

Since this thread is about different software/s and not an Acronis Disk Director Suite support issue, it has been moved to the appropriate forum section.
