"These design changes make the systems in question exploitable through Sigint collection … with foreknowledge of the modification. To the consumer and other adversaries, however, the systems' security remains intact."

Al-Qaida, Al-Shabab, Al-All-else and of course those vile consumers.

edit; I like the 'Bullrun' (crack major HTTPS, VOIP and SSL) slide requirement; 'Indoctrination required for access to secure COI'.

Snowden is just a whole bunch of FUD imo. I don't care how much data the NSA gathers on me? What are they going to use it for? And there are a bunch or backdoors on Windows? So who cares? How are they going to use those backdoors against me?

If you're saying this then yeah, you're not one of the people who should care. Don't worry.

Mainly the people who want privacy and control over their machines.

Not caring about computational spying/backdoors and saying
    is the same as saying
Who knows what the collected data is used for. My conspiracy theories tell me it's not for the greater good.

Don't use telephones either, especially not cellphones ;)

    @ComputersRock

Here's a short list of people who should care about NSA spying:

    • people who value their privacy, for whatever reason
    • people developing patentable products
    • companies that compete with US companies
    • companies that compete with Five Eyes' companies
    • public officials (all countries)
    • non-US spies
    • whistle-blowers in US and friends
    • Tea Party activists in US
    • people managing off-shore resources
    • revolutionaries (Thanks, hawki.)
    • those jerks who always appear in these lists

If the British had NSA's capabilities the USA would not exist.

    I care about that.

I also care about the chilling effect it has on people speaking their hearts and minds in emails and such. The knowledge that your communications are not private has a chilling effect on free speach.

    You don't care about that?

Yes, their major success (very limited) with Tor is acting like botnet hackers ;)

Maybe they just hired them as consultants.

  14. One question... i read in many articles that the NSA has the capabilities and the financial resources to target and find everyone they wants, even in the Tor network and honestly, i believe in this BUT my question comes out spontaneus...

If they could do it WHY the biggest fish of the darknet have been busted only due to their personal errors? The owner of freenxx entered his personal twitter while he was on Tor and the owner of Silk R ONLY used a VPN (if the article i read its true) and he got busted only after 2-3 yearso_O? And just because he used his personal gmail in some forums...

So my question is, if NSA really have these resources to broke Tor and catch a user whenever they want, and im sure they can, why they only got catched cause of their personal errors? Because its not really easy as they claim or because they want use their resources for even BIGGER fish of the darknet??

    Im really curious about this

And now a really really stupid question guy... im new about all of this,im just trying to learn and im not american... so this question for you is stupid for sure but... the NSA is just an american federal agency? Or an international one? If a user doesnt live in USA could be considered more or less safe against them? Thank u guys
