Maybe censoring my comment ahead of that will keep it open. Biting a tongue works (sort of) for actual speech, but biting my fingers isn't getting it. Hard to let such "above the law" arrogance go unchallenged.

^ Without veering political towards German political parties, the current statements by prime minister/Bundeskanzlerin Merkel, should be considered against the background of upcoming national elections in september.

P.S. Just a general 'FYI' for all members, not meant as a discussion topic.

The link works for me - I am using Linux Ubuntu 12.04.2 and Firefox 22.0. I simply middle-click on the link to open up a new tab in Firefox for the URL, and it renders the article from AP.

It takes me to a page with a blue map of the US. It asks me to select a state and news outlet. Doing that just gives a current news feed, not the particular article. Maybe it doesn't work from non-US IPs.

Definitely needs a US IP, proxy sites don't seem to work, but VPN does.

Give it another try as I changed the link, and it should work for all now.

It's a shame that we don't know more about the hardware/software they're using for Prism and web surveillance. Hacking it would be a totally appropriate response.

Lead isn't necessary. Any high-conductivity metal (copper, silver, aluminum, etc) works. Holes must be substantially smaller than the wavelength. Mesh bags are available. Layered duct tape (for strength and durability) and aluminum tape (for conductivity) works.
