I love it that someone has come up with a way to kill Alexa and all the other spys screwing with my machine. How do I get rid of the log? I really don't want someone knowing I looked at a porn site for a few minutes do I o_O

By the way, SpyBot, SpywareBlaster, and PestPatrol are great software. I would give a solid thumbs down on Spykiller2004. It has not found a thing after the initial 5 bugs. I think the 5 bugs were just a nasty program-gimic to get you to plunk down $30 for the software. At first, I thought, what the hey, I worked on software, I'd want to get paid. But, to claim it as free software, then lay there idle on my computer seems like fraud.

I am not sure how I feel about evidence eliminator yet. It seems to scramble things pretty well but it leaves logs behind. One site maliciously loaded a zip file on my desktop. I caught it because I keep the desktop stripped down for cruising the net.

Any help out there on getting rid of SpywareBlaster's log?

    Hi Dirk,

SpywareBlaster doesn't have a log. And since it isn't a scanner, it doesn't keep any record at all of anything. It just sets passive protections in the Windows registry which go on protecting you after you close down the program.

Can you explain a little more about what you are seeing (what log you are looking at)? Perhaps we can figure this out with you.

Hoping it's OK to post the link here, an interesting and quite elucidating (not to mention entertaining :p) discussion concerning Evidence Eliminator can be found in this thread - also hoping you'll be able to access it, since the SWI forums are undergoing DoS attacks. :(

    BS.
